Just think... there's only three of us at the moment, so we only get paired collisions, 'cos we wouldn't dd two consecutive posts, would we. But... what if someone else joins in? That could prove difficult...

Let's have a party! To celebrate Jaleb's 1,000 and my 2,000! (Well, just a little premature on the latter, but any excuse...)

Many congratulations to you both! I forgot about 2,500 a week ago, but will not forget my 3,000th.

Not to leave your out, Trigger11... we'll pretend it's your 3,000 as well (which won't actually be that long from now, at this post rate!)

Picture it.... Jabeb is, as we speak, off trying like mad to figure out how to do the "Custom Rank" stuff. What do you reckon? Am I right?

(Hm. I wonder where Jaleb went? I seem to be stuck with this Jabeb guy. Never seen him/her before. Looks kinda weird. I think I'll go stick my head in a bucket.)

Quite possibly, but I virtually showed her last night. Plus her kid just got home from school.

Really must try to work out how many times, on average, I edit every one of my posts. I often "Preview", usually more than once, but I always seem to finish up doing a "Submit" too soon. Then it's another two or three edits. Silly. And still I get it wrong. Such is life.

Same here. I can't stand when I misspell something. I have a new laptop at home with a spellchecker in the Google browser bar, which works wonders. But I still do "to" for "too" and other follish mistakes like forgetting words that it cannot pick up.

The Google Browser Bar... how much help is that?

I use Seamonkey (sort of daddy of Firefox), so I get spellcheck as I type. I.e. it just red-underlined "spellcheck", and a right click on that tells me it would prefer "spell check". So I have a quick look at the OED online, which is happy with "spell-check". In any case, I like "spellcheck", so another right click and I add it to my dictionary. The red underlining has now gone.

Ugnaughts used to use their underpants as undergarments, but under the Utapau moon their uncle said, "Under where?"

"Wait" is a song by my friends Seven Mary Three, and was featured on the soundtrack for Crazy/Beautiful. My tattoo is of their symbol: 7M3. They got their name from the show CHiPs. 7 Mary 3 was Jon Baker's call sign, who was always saving the day when Frank Poncherello (7 Mary 4) screwed up. Their original name was Grandma Dynamite, but they were afraid of being sued by Hanna-Barbera, so they changed it one night while watching reruns of CHiPs while in college at William & Mary.

I imagine long walks down the road
Things begin to bloom and the sky explodes
The damage is undone, and then I know
This has got to be a
Dream machines and luxuries don't last
I took my sleep for granted in the past
And I woke up half-dead in the hourglass
Now, does that sound funny?

Wait, you're almost there
It's gone
You're almost there
It's gone
You're almost where what follows you, does not bother you

I have walked the tightrope parts of me
Towed the line just far enough to see
Never found a gift I got for free
You pay for them dearly
I see my forever is one long night
If I can make it dark, I can make it light
I know that most of living done is done in the mind
Only thought survives

Wait, you're almost there
It's gone
You're almost there
It's gone
You're almost where what follows you, does not bother you

Are you tired?
Are you uninspired?
Does the miscommunication try to eat you up inside?
And I am here, as you are here
And everything I want to know is
Sleeping in your ears!

Wait, you're almost there; it's gone
You're almost there; it's gone
You're almost where what follows you, does not bother you

Wait, you're almost there it's gone
You're almost there it's gone
You're almost where what follows you, does not...

Yes, I see that. I am watching Demetri Martin on Comedy Central. He is hilarious, kind of like Mitch Hedberg, my favorite comedian.
