Could someone tell me what the real value of those Pokemon cards was? In was an already opened pack, which should reduce the value from "mint", I guess. I saw her being flabbergasted at $40, but then she finished up getting $140 (and deservedly so, for the quality of writing).

Don't know! but I was wondering the same thing! I was hoping someone here could tell me. My kids aren't into Pokemon, just dinosaurs, dinosaurs, mammals for variety, and then, more dinosaurs!

Exactly what I was thinking. I buy my daughter Pokemon cards for $11-$12 per three packs, with one bonus card you see in the blister. I think each pack comes with 6-8 cards. I think she got that much for the writing and the fact the link to her auction was circulated around the internet and got so many hits.
