True. If anything the main criteria to win this game seems to be OCD either that or sheer bloody mindedness.

Yep, I'm too competitive to quit now. I don't want to seem inferior to the winner.

I've been giving thought to how this thread will end.

I imagine that, in the distant future, there will be an academic discipline devoted to reading and interpreting the internet. Someone will come across this thread and read all of it, because it is their job, and they will think, "I'm the only person alive with access to this thread, I'm the only one who knows it exists [they don't use the internet anymore, so only enthusiasts are ever on it]" After that they'll realise, "Hey, I could totally win this!" and make a post.

That, I think, is how this thread will end.

Interesting to contemplate. The options that spring to mind are:

1. It gets deleted.
2. WP closes down.
3. People lose interest and stop posting so it drifts off into the archive.
4. There will be a major disaster such as an asteroid or virus wiping out all human life on Earth.

In all cases there will be a final poster, hence ultimate winner.

Any other scenarios?

Another possibility is that everybody who tries to post in this thread gets the, "Wrong Planet has lots of traffic, here's a video," message instead.

Quite possibly. Another Scenario is that the barrier between fantasy and reality breaks, and we all leave off to go do quests/catch em' all.

Or Russia decides to finally release their Tetris Bombs, causing oddly familiar superstructures to appear.

Also, for a limited time frame, I am winning.

And that limited time has now come to a close.

Strange for a cat to make such a fundamental error of judgement.
