The person in my avatar is Blind Willie McTell. He was a Blues musician from Georgia, who was born around about the start of the 20th century (I've heard different dates, and am unsure which is correct) and died in 1959.

I took his surname as my username too (strictly speaking this is untrue, as his surname was actually McTier or McTear (his family used both spellings) and his wife took the name McTier rather than McTell).

I've never played Mafia, but since (according to Wikipedia) it is set in the thirties, I think this photo of McTell (and his first period of success as a recording musician) would date to around the same time as the game's setting.
