"Oh my gods. Look."

The clock on the wall was running backwards.

Lilli pointed up in horror.

Nearby several machines had started malfunctioning and were displaying strange things on their displays.

"She doesnt have a pokeball. Just sayin'." She chirpred. She looked at the clock, and looked a Magia. "Aaaabraaaa~" she laughed and smiled.

Shauna grimaced and pinched her arm, and laura looked like she had just snapped out of a trance. "What!? You little...!" Laura growled, once she realized her ribbons were with Magia. She snatched them off, and tied them back in her hair. "What in the name of Arceus just happened?" She diddnt seem to notice the clocks going backwards.

What the heck just happened? That Abra certainly had some interesting abilities.

Guinan watched the clocks in surprise. "It was like some kind of mind trick or something, right?" Guinan asked Laura. "What did she actually do to you?"

"I-I don't know." She mumbled. Magia jumped out of her arms, going to go wreck more havoc.

Guinan watched Magia go for a while until it seemed like she wasn't going to do anything else... for the moment. "How does anyone get an Abra to fight a battle? Unless they're not usually like this?" she piped up.

"Magia isnt a normal Abra." Professor sycamore stated. "She was in a group of stray pokemon, abandoned by their trainers, including an Oddish, a very blocky looking pokemon, and a few others. Calem found them one day, and upon finding out about what happened to them, he brought them back here." Laura was still in the corner, freaking out about what just happened, and Calem was trying to comfort her.

"Calem, what if I forget what happened in the past five years? What if I forget how to battle? What if I forget about you?" She panicked.

He held her in his arms. "If that does happen, I'll teach you how to battle again. It'll all be fine."

(OOC: Is this a time travel thing with the clocks going backwards? If so, how do we figure out how far to go back?)

"Is it a coincidence that Magia interrupted her, stopped her from sharing what she found with Shauna though? Is Magia clever enough to do that?" Guinan wondered aloud. "Not sure if that was good or bad though... Or did Magia just want the attention all for herself?"

@DataB4 Nah, it's just a side-effect of Abra's powers. I read that when Kadabra is nearby, it causes clocks to turn backwards and machines to go haywire, so I thought that might be interesting.
I just wanted to highlight how bizarre it was, especially to people who have never seen something like that before.

"Perhaps she just wanted attention." they said.
"I mean, especially if one is abandoned, one can feel lonely.. and perhaps that's why she acts this way. You just want interaction, regardless of the source. You want people to talk to you, notice you, if nobody will. You want to feel special, validated. It's a basic need."

They looked down. They knew.

"But as she can't speak, this is how she communicates with us.
Perhaps she's learned that the best way to provoke a reaction is emotion. Perhaps she just finds it funny. I don't know. But I don't think there's bad intent."

Laura wouldn't know how that would feel, she was constantly on the covers of magazines, shows up on TV, stuff like that. But she did know that sad, empty feeling, and how awful it is. Even though her eyes were always closed and she was incapable of showing emotion, everybody could tell that she was sad. "Aww, come here." Laura said, holding her ams out. Magia walked towards her, and returned one of her can't-breathe hugs. For the first time in forever, she finally felt happy.


(Magia was the name of my Alakazam when I played through LeafGreen for the first time. Her and Fira the Charizard were the strongest pokemon I had in that game, and I even figured out a way to transfer both of them allll the way to my Alpha Sapphire. They're most likely to end up in my copy of Moon when I get my hands on one.)

Guinan listened thoughtfully to Lily and watched Laura and Magia together. "You must've given that a lot of thought," Guinan said to Lily. "I think you're right. Having Magia purposely stop the champion and Shauna sharing memories... it was just a crazy thought anyway, so probably just a coincidence."

To Laura, she added, "That hug you gave Magia, even after the spell, or whatever it was... I'm sure that meant more to her than anything you did while she seemed to control you."

Still, Guinan wondered what would happen when Laura did eventually share the picture of the writing on the wall with Shauna. She hoped they would share good memories, but if Laura had forgotten, maybe there was something awful there also, something Laura wouldn't want to remember. There was no way to know if Magia's interruption had been good, bad, or neither for Laura's and Shauna's friendship, so Guinan decided she would wait for Laura to bring up the picture in her own way, just in case. She wondered if she'd already said too much to Shauna.

(Oh my god, fangirl moment over here. That was so sweet!)

Laura went back to normal, though she didn't remember the picture. She then got an idea. Something she liked to do with Shauna was look for Star Pieces and Scales and Pearls via dowsing machine, and make what they find into jewelry. She happened to have one on her now, she dug through her purse and pulled out a necklace with a sparkly red gem as a pendant, and put it around Magia's neck. "Here. Dont forget, as long as I'm around, you wont be forgotten." "A-Abra..." She said, telepathically lifting the gem and looking at it.

"I wonder why she's so nice to a creature that almost wiped her memmories clean again. She's always been selfless and kindhearted like that." Calem said absentmindedly.

Again! So Calem clearly believes that Magia had something to do with Laura's... accident, Guinan thought. Aloud, she said, "My new pokemon really don't compare with that kind of power. They're more physical, see, they're out there," Guinan gestured toward where Weedle, Foxy, and Pichu were playing in the garden.

(OOC: How well do the different pokemon play together?)

(Generally, pokemon on the same team get along pretty good, but pokemon that correspond with real life animals and are natural enemies dont like each other. Pikachu doesnt get along with Meowth cuz Pikachu is an electric mouse, and Meowth is a cat.)

Laura stood up, brushed the dirt and grass off of her dress, and walked over to Calem and Gunnian. "You know, Pichu can control electricity. If you batte with her enough, she'll evolve into a Pikachu." She stated.

"Well, what are we supposed to do with that pest this region calls a Champion?" Malva, the new leader of Team Flare inquired. "How could such a frail and small child pull the plug on Lysandre's plans for a perfect world, just like that?"

"Patience, Malva. Patience." Giovanni said, calmly. "What we need is another Champion that has a liking for a type strong against those puny Fairies."

"But Boss, the only one like that is Steven Stone, and he smacked us down faster than Deoxys with a Quick Claw." Archie whined.

"I have somebody else in mind."

"Hello, everyone. How has our little plan been coming along?" Cynthia asked.

I'll stop bugging Laura about the picture, she probably gets the point by now. Mike notices that his prosthetic arm is acting very strange and the screen is displaying static. He looks over at Sam to see that he is upside down on the ground with a few tools folded out that are going haywire.

That's certainly unusual, although it seems to be doing no harm- Oh crap, the wormhole containment device! he pulls out the wormhole containment capsule and the screen on it says "Containment Lost" in big red letters. "Oh no... Oh no... This is bad... I've lost the wormhole."

"You what?! Oh, Arceus, I'll help you look. She said, quickly rummaging through the leaves on the ground, but all she saw was Gunnian's Weedle. She picked Anna up, waking her from her nap. It wasn't under her.

"What does it look like?" She asked, attempting to be helpful for once.
