Not to bash NTs here, but that is because they are of the believe that when you are a teenager you are allowed to act iresponsible, drink and party a lot and not be hit by the consequences of their actions. Kinda like the best from the world of adult and childhood.

Unless they are complete idots they will come to realise that they must face the consequenses of their actions anyway.

But hey what do I know? I skipped being a teenager and went straight from child to adult.
