The problem with this thread is that people can post while others are posting so the Alphabet might be messed up.

xiphoid process, it can easily be broken off if CPR is done incorrectly.

Yes. However, given a choice between the odd bit of minor physical damage and death, I'd rather someone performed less-than-perfect CPR on me, than they worried over where exactly they pressed on my sternum.

Former mechanisms for delivering mail prior to it being excluded, one could argue that the thing one could call "the post" dates from 1840, when the postage stamp (penny black) was first issued.
