I too found them so cute!

That's adorable. I wish my cat and dog were like that. Sometimes the cat tries to play - she will chase the dog if he runs past where she is hiding - but he mostly ignores her.

Chase the dog? I just gotta post these then:

Yeah, and it's super cute when they are. Mine were friendlier when the cat was little.

They can be. Viggo was friends with a couple of cats. Our first dog, Sissi, was a cat chaser. She didn't like the cat that lived in the same stairwell either, but once when he and another cat was fighting, she cut in and chased off the other cat, and left our catly neighbor alone.

My grandma has a dog and a cat, both male. They are so cute!

In my experience male cats tend to be less snooty, and more cuddly. Of course that doesn't hold true for all cats, but its often the case. Sadly I ended up with a rather snooty girl cat. At least she has to come in for dinner and when it gets cold, or we'd probably never see her.

There are exceptions, but my experience with mammalian and avian pets are that females are often harder to deal with for their owners but get into less fights, while the males have tended to be very easy to deal with for us, more overall friendly, but can get into fights with other males of its species.
I mentioned this to another dog owner once, one who had a couple of male boxers and one female Parson Russell terrier, and she had the same experience with dogs and horses.
