Back in 1990, the University of Miami brought in a giant mound of snow and dumped it in front of one of the student cafeterias. Once word got out, we had a giant snowball fight in 90 degree temperatures. That was fun!

Fairbanks, Alaska has very dry snow... no snowballs!

The plus to this is it packs down pretty solid... great for building snow shelters like igloos to sleep in when it's -20/-30 degrees outside.

Great, just when you think you're going to get snow, it turns out to be hail.

My advice is don't get too comfortable unless you're absolutely sure it's snowing.

it was snowing yesterday up here, well it might have been hail but there was enough white stuff on the groun this morning! And it's very cold.
