^Aww, thank you! I'm currently working on Part I so I can get back to Part 2, and I should have more of Part 2 typed by the end of this week! Yay!

I put a second part of my story about Radiant on the writer's showcase thread, if you're interested.

It is long and I have about twenty edited chapters, so I can't post too much!

Oh, blimey, that is long! My book used to have chapters, but then I just turned it into one huge novel apart from the dividing parts.

where does "mythaven" come from?

As VODIAK was borne from the left arm of Weil, and ZODIK was borne from the cranium of Weil, ANNIKAK plucked one of the spacetime nerve cells linking the two and created the first man with it.

What if Genesis was that way?

ZODIK struck down VODIAK to prevent a second Kol from arising, the first arising from a failed quark configuration from leaving them idle to configure themselves for too long (and thus allowing them to overclock) while VODIAK attended to weaving light wavelengths. The weakened VODIAK "condensing" into the first female, human, who in millenniums to come would come to resemble a certain HeilloSorcanian lady with Chancelloric capabilities.

Worked for terry pratchett and tbh I don't mind the style but it does make putting a book down hard I try to stop at the end of a chapter!! Going to try and have a read in a bit what you got so far.

btw if you don't like the GOT TV series avoid the books tv cuts a lot out.

Okey-dokey. I came up with the word Mythaven when I was trying to think of a good name for my magical fantasy world. I liked the word myth a lot, and then I thought, "Well, it's a safe place for mythological creatures, so...haven!"
Taskedula comes from taskete [Japanese for save/help/rescue], the English word dual, and fabula [the Latin word for fable/story/myth.

Is it just a name or is it really a sanctuary for magical beings?

That depends on what you believe!

Then I take it that not everyone in Mythaven is aware of their non-human neighbors? (which also answered what I didn't ask; are there people there too?)

No one in Mythaven knows anything about earth and I'm not even sure if they know of its existence. There are no humans in Mythaven, and the ones that look human are always anything but.

On Radiant, they know from the UniWeb that Earth exists but only Vicki and her friends have ever been there.

I am looking forward to hearing more about Mythaven! I like the characters I've read about so far.
