Why are parents so angry when their kids, who have been raised with the idea of the easter bunny and santa claus, lie to them?

Because the parents don't question the logic of telling their child there is a Santa Claus when one doesn't exist - or they think there is a Santa Claus but not in a literal sense (as there being a "Santa" that will give presents, even if it is just one at the mall or a dressed up Santa).
If a kid told their parent (after being caught in a lie), well "You lied about there being a Santa Claus..." - how do you think the parent should answer?

Apparently you've forgotten I never told you there was.
When your kid says something untrue to you, how do you know for certain if you're kid is lying and doesn't really believe what they're telling you?
