Elizabeth I of England

Also known as the Virgin Queen, Elizabeth was the daughter of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn. Elizabeth famously never married or had children. Her reign, known as the Elizabethan Era, saw England's defeat of the Spanish Armada in 1588, the execution of Mary, Queen of Scots the year before, and the flourishing of English drama.

I confess: I had to look it up.

There was a 13th Century Norwegian king named Inge II Bardsson.

I guess Popes don't count. If they did, I'd definitely put Innocent III, who was a bulwark against the secular royal intrusion upon papal power during the 13th Century.

Mary, Queen of Scots

Mary was six days old when she ascended as Queen of Scotland. She was also briefly Queen consort of France before returning to her homeland. Seven years later, she was forced to abdicate in favor of her son. During her 18 years in imprisonment in England, she was the focus of Catholic opposition to Elizabeth I. She was beheaded in 1587.
