(We had a school prison underneath the school hall where they used to string you up from the wall bars.)

Speaking of school and prison.... in the science class room we used in my junior high someone had written on the back of one of the chairs there:
(insert name of the junior high I went to) Prison.
Every time I sat on the row behind that chair, I snickered inwardly and agreed with the assessment. In case anyone wonders, no I didn't like school :lol:

Once in elementary school when I hadn't done my homework I was told I had to stay in school afterwards to do them, along with one other pupil who hadn't done his homework. I just went home instead lol.

Not really. The next day the teacher asked where I went, and said that my classmate had come to detention. Nothing more came of it.
There is more to the story than that though. I didn't care as I hated that teacher and had no respect for her after what she had done and the result of it (I'm not getting into that now, suffice to say that her actions and their consequences made my life hell from I 12 ½ to 14, and caused a trauma that lasted for two decades before I was able to move past it). Sorry to darken the thread.
