"No, I have not done any battles yet. It looks fun though, and I would like to try it at some point." replies Mike. His robotic arm vibrates a bit. "Oh, that's the alarm I set for the carriers arriving at Nexus Station. I hope they are doing OK."

The control room of Nexus Station is rather chaotic.
"The enemy fleet is within visual range!"
"Point all weapons towards them but hold your fire."
"The fleet is slowing down, they will come to a stop relative to the station about 5 kilometers from us at their closest approach. The ships are stopping their rotation and preparing for combat."
"We have a lock on them with 4 of the 8 particle cannons, the computer estimates a 46% chase of hitting if we fire right now. The missile silos are opened and also ready to fire."
"I repeat, hold your fire. Fire only if we are fired upon."

Nexus station hails the incoming fleet. "This is Mason, the acting captain of Nexus Station. Please state your intention." There is no reply.

"I know you're concerned. I've been there," Guinan said sincerely to Mike.

She watched Laura's battle. As Laura returned to the table, Guinan commented, "Wow! Anna has... a sort of gentle strength."

(OOC: If I misinterpretted, and there was no battle, please let me know. Otherwise, could you mention what move Anna used?)

(Yes, that was a battle, I just diddnt want to take up a bunch of pages.)

"Hehe, why thank you." She said bashfully. "Why are the carriers wanting to take out Nexus? It's not like you've done anything that bad." Laura never really understood bad guys, in fact, she never really got the whole picture on what Tean Flare was about.

(OOC: I think the battles can be fun though, Midnightstar. They are long in RP form though if you do them turn by turn. Throw in the rolling of the dice and it gets a bit... not sure if 'trying' is the right word? I'd be interested in learning Mikeman's way to shorten the back-and-forth of RP battles.)

Mike's tone gets more serious. "I believe that they are attacking the station because of the power of it's technology. With a little more work and some infrastructure it would be possible to use wormholes to instantly transport a fleet to any location in the solar system, and the ability to quickly have a fleet anywhere you need within short notice is very powerful. Also, a lot of resources could me gained from mining planets and asteroids in other universes. It's not that the station did anything bad, it's just that they are sitting on a technology that's really valuable and the Heiwa Federation wants it. We have actually kept this technology away from the Solar Alliance military too for the same reasons."

"Do you think that the war would actually end though if both sides could use the same technology, or is there too much history for that?" Guinan asked.

"Actually that would cause the Heiwa Federation to have a massive advantage. They have more money and manpower, the only thing keeping them from wrecking the Solar Alliance fleets is the fact that the Solar Alliance has superior technology."

Guinan nodded sadly. "So they're fighting over technology, but there's more to the conflict than that." She looked over at Laura. "Did Team Flare also want something from Kalos Region they couldn't have?"

Laura thought for a second. "No, they just thought that everything was too far gone to make everything the way it was before, non-ruined and perfect. So what he wanted to do was completely blow the whole planet apart, only leaving them alive. I dont know how that would've worked, but they said that if they couldnt get a perfect world then they diddnt want a world." She explained. Just talking about it made her scared, in fact she would have nightmares a lot about them. She kind of wished that whatever happened that wiped out her memory had happened after Team Flare. If it wasnt for them, then Geosenge Town wouldnt still be trying to rebuild themselves. Even though they have already been dismantled, Laura hated the evil group with a passion.

Calem was there when it happened. The Ultimate Weapon actually had fired off, but all it did was set the hideout on fire, leave a gaping hole in the center of Geosenge Town, and presumably get rid of their leader, Lysandre. Laura had passed out from anxiety after battling with Lysandre, and it was Calem who had carried her out of the hideout. Frankly, all five of the kids who took them down wanted to foget that incident, being four floors underground, rushing to get out of there.

"That sounds terrifying, so..." Guinan looked from Laura to Anna thoughtfully. "So Anna helped bring them down, and doesn't she have some power to make people feel better? I think the pokedex mentioned something like that."

"She does. The thing is that she doesnt want to use it too much, because she thinks that's 'running away from your problems'. She wants us to get over it on our own merit." She said, looking at the sweet pokemon, petting her head.

"Really?" Guinan asked, looking again at Anna. "How did she show you that?"

Uhh, well I have a friend who invents things, his name is Clemmont, he made me this contraption that tells you what Pokemon are saying. It broke a few days later, though." She said, scratching the back of her neck.

"An inventor," Guinan said, looking briefly over at Mike as she said it. "A communication device for Pokemon? I thought maybe it was only Magia who, might, be able to do that. But then, the pokemon do seem to understand more of what we're saying than any animal I've ever known."

Calem looked at Gunnian, confused. "Any what you've ever known?" They diddnt have animals there. "I think they're the closest thing to Pokemon that they have." Laura said. With that, their food came, the waitress had her Skidoo help her juggle everything. Laura ate as quickly as she could without looking un-ladylike, paid for everything, and left. "Is there anything else anybody wanted to do in town?" Laura asked.

Sam takes off from the roof and joins the group again. Mike keeps his robotic arm hidden though.

"Well, what is there to do in this town? I'm not really familiar with the entertainment in this area or this planet for that matter." says Mike.

The enemy carriers synchronize their velocity with the station and get into a formation such that they all have their broad sides facing Nexus. They aim their weapons at the station and hail it. A voice comes through with a thick middle-eastern accent, "Nexus station, we have a fleet of four carriers in position to attack. If you don't surrender then we will take the station by force." Nexus station simply replies with "Bring it on!".

The first shots are fired by the fleet and the station fires back. Streaks of light fly back and fourth as particle cannons are fired and missiles are launched by both sides. The fleet has superior firepower though and it begins targeting the weapon systems on Nexus station. Nexus launches it's fighters out of the hangar bay but the fleet of carriers is able to launch many more.

In the control room things are very chaotic as people report damage and the Mason gives orders. The lights are flickering a bit and distant bangs can be heard as weapons hit parts of the station.

"Particle cannon 7 is down"
"Coolant leak in reactor 2, shutting it down."
"Hull breach along sector 5"

Mason sees a notification on his display that says "Breach device capacitors charged". Great how about you tell me something useful. They were really getting their butts kicked, but they just had to somehow survive for 5 hours. I can do this, I just need to calm down and remember my training. "Focus fire the particle cannons on the weapon systems of the closest carrier, and see if we can get missiles to fly in such a way that they look like fighters. Also, somebody inform the armory to get the bots ready for the station being boarded."
