I am underwhelmed.
I'm a lazy brat who sits in front of his computer all day.
I don't have a care in the world.

I guess an Aspie wouldn't particularly like being over- or under-whelmed. Just "whelmed" would be nice.

Unless you're overwhelmed with joy ... but that usually takes a lot of hard work.

I could live very well with being overwhelmed with joy!

Your turtles probably overwhelm you with joy every day.

Do you just watch them or do you actually touch them and play with them?

Some nitwit in Florida, U.S.A., was seen riding a sea turtle.

She got arrested.

Good.

Yes good. Stupid girl.

Murihiku - whelmed is kind of my codeword for not yet being overwhelmed, but not being calm and comfortable either. Sort of like "I'm managing to cope with this at the moment, but I don't like it, and if it continues there is going to be a meltdown sooner or later". :?

Yeah, they got picked up on daily basis and stroked and fed. I never kept them with me when they tried to be let go of though. Some people just let their turtles stay in their aquariums, but I liked hand on contact. If I just wanted to watch my pet, I'd get a fish instead.

Poor turtle :( I'm glad she was caught and that it was taken seriously. Was another case some while ago too where some moron let a sea turtle drag him. I'll never know what possess anyone to do such a thing to an animal.

What do sea turtles eat?

Most sea turtles eat fish and jellyfish. Leatherbacks have specialized in jellyfish, and have spines in their mouth that help them hold on to them. Adult green sea turtles OTOH are herbivores and eat sea grasses, seaweed, algae etc, while their young eat invertebrates like crabs, jellyfish, and sponges. Hawksbill sea turtles eat sponges, anemones, squid and shrimp.

A glowing non-radioactive sea turtle. Who knew? What will they think of next?

Wow, I've never heard about bio-luminescence in turtles before. Could the Hawksbills get it via their diet perchance?
Anyway, thank you so much for sharing that, Moomin; what an amazing video!! :D

I learned yesterday from YouTube that turtles can make some really funny sounds

Wow, Mooms. Thanks for sharing that article and video. That was really fascinating.

And yeah, every time I see anything to do with turtles now I end up thinking "ooh, Skilpadde might like this".
