Effectively a master crafted twin linked meltagun/railgun, seeing as they would both grant you AP1 and 2 re-rolls on your hit dice.


Having a BS over 5 is pointless, seeing as you will *always* miss if you roll a 1, no matter the circumstances. Although I guess that's not a major concern with 2 re-rolls up your sleeve.


You never asked what his toughness was. There's more to the shooting phase than hitting and armour saves.

Oh, and Plasma Guns are for pansies, real men use Meltaguns

Melta weaponry only hits a very small area - no blast marker whatsoever. That's why it's primarily an anti tank/defensive structure weapon. Also, meltabombs don't have their 2D6 strength bonus when used on infantry, making them kinda useless. It's for this reason that they are only used as anti-tank and anti-structure weapons. Imperial vehicles tend to use Hellstrike Missiles, or plain old "bombs" (never given a more specific name), seeing as a weapon with a nice big blast template works far better in a bombing run.
On a final note, you've assumed that I'm not:
(A) Underground. Meltabombs might break through the outermost layer of my defenses, but nothing beyond that.
(B) Heavily defended. I haven't really joined in this thread, so for all you know I could live in the middle of a SAM silo.
(C) Already dead. Read the "are you a thread killer?" thread. There's a reason why Death is my avatar
Really now, you can't be such a stickler to the rules as to ask Anubis his BS and then NOT think of the tactical implications of dropping Meltabombs from planes
