Mike takes out his handheld particle cannon pistol and aims it at Q. "Get out of my ship." he demands as he switches the weapon on. Q replies "Do you think you can destroy me with your pathetic pea shooter just like how you doomed your own world with it?" Mike opens the door to outside and points to it. "OUT!" Q just laughs.

Before that, Q had calmly watched Laura's angry outburst. Laura was in good company, as many people who meet Q become quickly furious with him. "The universe is a game because it has rules, most of which I break on a regular basis," Q had replied, starting to cackle again. For the moment, he was ignoring Enye's question, but as usual, with Q, that could change in an instant.

"If you break the rules.... Then what's the point in playing?" Laura had asked, confused by Q's logic, but still as mad as before.

(OOC: I think at this point, Q would show Laura about breaking the rules of the universe firsthand. Normally, players don't mess with other players' characters in this way, but at this point, I see Q making her do something that's against the rules of the universe from her perspective, like maybe appearing and disappearing in different places and times.)

('Kay, go ahead.)

"Why play? Because I can explore all the possibilities of what might have been, and what might be" Q said, and with a snap of his fingers, he, Laura, and Anna were gone.

Laura, Q, and Anna were standing in a pokemon center, but things were different somehow. The humans had devices in their ears, and some were deeply involved in conversations with their pokemon. Laura realized she had one also, and Anna spoke to her. "If only your friend's invention had worked," Q said, with another snap of his fingers.

This time, they were standing in a forest. There were birds and other mundane animals. "What if there were no pokemon?" Q asked, and snapped his fingers once more.

They were watching a very unusual battle. A heavily armored man was fighting a Bunnelby with a broadsword, and the Bunnelby kept knocking him off his feet and digging holes in his armor. "What if humans fought pokemon every day?" Q pondered. The next time he snapped his fingers, they were back, having missed only a moment.

Laura looked at Q as if he was crazy.

"You know, Clemont only wanted me to test out the prototype." She said, in the pokemon center.

"Aww! That... Um, whatever that is is adorable!" She said, as a bunny rabbit hopped around her feet, Anna sniffing it."

"This is the stupidest, most idiotic...." She trailed off as the human had fainted, like a pokemon in a normal battle. The next two up was what got her. A Charizard walked up to one end and a little girl that looked like one of those fabled trainers that could fuse with their pokemon was on the other end. The little girl had Sylveon ears and long white hair tied up in pigtails shaped like Laura's pigtails, that faded into pink, dark blue, and light blue. All she had armor wise was a pink, blue and white dress and white ballet flats. The girl quickly took out the Charizard with a Dazzling Gleam and Fairy Wind. "What the heck...." Laura mumbled. Anna seemed just as stunned.

"Maybe there was a reason things didn't turn out like that. That last one was weird." She said, plopping back down next to Calem, staring blankly at the floor in front of her.

(Did anybody else get that reference? The long lost Pokemon Manga, Pokemon ReBurst, that everyone was going nuts about?)

Guinan didn't look up as Q, Laura, and Anna appeared out of nowhere. "That was just a sampling of the weirdness in the multiverse," Q said.

(OOC: Nice, Midnightstar. I like how you expanded on the scenes. Calem's going to be so confused by Laura's comment, since he and the others didn't see any of it. Q is very good at confusing people.)

"Q..." Enye said warningly, and Q visibly stiffened, as if he had either been ignoring her or forgot that she was even there. "Remember when you summoned that giant sea serpent on the Promenade, and it made a tsunami that had the possibility of drowning everyone and Odo was super angry at you?" Q nodded silently. "Remember how I set the sea serpent free. I could easily do the same to you." A look of what could almost be called horror flickered in Q's eyes. "Also, I have the phone numbers of the Doctor, the woman who married the Doctor, the Girl Who Waited, the Last Centurion, UNIT...oh, and..." She paused, as if for dramatic emphasis, her voice nearly a whisper, "The Raven Queen."

[These are references to a sea monster you can summon in Final Fantasy VII and Seasons 5-9 of Doctor Who, but the Raven Queen is a character in my new story.]

"Haha, Q, that was the face of pure fear right there." Laura giggled.

"What all did you see?" Calem asked, curious.

"Rerember that manga I let you borrow a few months ago?" Calem nodded. "I think one of the dimensions Q showed me was that very dimension that it took place in! You know how they could fuse with the pokemon in these little Burst Heart crystals? I saw a girl that looked just like me, exept she was fused with a Sylveon! It was so weird!" She explained.

"Hm. That could have been you. Rerember that episode of the anime of the kid with the Pikachu, where he went through Reflection Cave and he got pulled into a different world? There was a diffrent version of the same group he knew and traveled with. You may have just seen a different version of yourself." He thought out loud.

"Y'know... what if we're just from alternate versions of the same world?"

"This is Earth, right?"

"I'm from Earth." They pointed to Mike. "He's from Earth. You've got a Japan, right?" they asked, looking at Mike. "Heiwa Federation. I'm from Japan-- Kantō Region. You've got a Kanto here, right?" they asked Laura.

They glanced around.
"Heiwa's in my language. Means 'peace.'
It's the motto of my effin' kingdom! ...'Oui?' They cocked a grin.
"That's French. We've got France, he's got France too."

"Anime? Manga? We've got that too."

"Vocaloid? Idol singers?
Oh yeah, we've got those. Sushi, macarons.... Yeah, they exist.

People speak English, French, Japanese... Tell me that isn't coincidence."

"Yet I have none of what you just said in my world." Enye revealed, looking quite interested.

For once, Q decided not to insult anyone. Still watching Enye closely, he said, "Yes, you've all got the idea now. There are so many places and times and universes to explore, even if you stay on Earth. Then, if you go to other solar systems and galaxies, they have alternate possibilities too."

"That's insane.." Lilli said.

Even if they did this for years, they'd be dead before they could see it all.
"Heh." The thought of it excited them.
"The universe is really fascinating." they said with a bashful smile.

"Well, yeah, I do speak French, even though I suck at English. It's kind of ironic that Heiwa means peace, cause what Mike said about them, their horrible people. And macaroons? Ew! I thought we were the only world that had the misfortune of those barely edible things." Laura gasped. "Hey! If there's the same people in each world, have you met me already? What if I've met the other versions of you? Oh this is so cool!" Her eyes sparkled at the possibilities.

Everyone suddenly noticed that Enye was sitting quite still, with a peaceful smile on her face. "Would anyone like to look inside me and see the Universe?" She asked quietly yet gently.
They looked, and so did Q, and this is what they saw:
