I suppose you're not using a hacked PSP to play NES, Super NES, PS1 and Game Boy (Advance) games on it.

^ :? Why the heck would I do that? I do have several GBA games as well. Thank goodness for the 3DS e-shop. Now if only they would release Fire Emblem Rekka No Ken on Virtual Console...

Yeah, but you probably don't have all GBA games. 8)
NES and SNES support is very nice.
You can also run games from the memory stick so they load much, much faster.

True, but I have enough games as it is.
What's NES/SNES support?

NES
SNES
You can emulate games from these consoles on a hacked PSP.
For example Super Metroid, which is a SNES game.

Unhacked PSPs do not play homebrew programs like emulators.
Hacking a PSP makes it play them, or in other words, "support" them.

:o Okay, then...Although that would be useful for playing Illusion of Gaia and Earthbound and other SNES games I can't get, I'm not going to hack into my PSP just to play them. :|

Actually, I played Earthbound on my PSP. :)
I don't know how far I got, but I met "party members" (no spoiler).
If my PSP didn't break, I'd have probably completed that game. It was fun and the music was excellent.

I'm always nervous about emulators and hacking games.

If Nintendo are smart they will get exclusivity on FFVII remake but I suspect sony have already backed the project and that's why it's not going to the 360 on launch.

i had a PSP as a kid that i asked to be returned for a...telescope.

Any of you interested in it?

not getting it either. :?

i heard about it in june, or july. i was sure it was a hoax at first.
i hear often that when it does come out it will be "too soon" for some...strange reason. i mean, the wii was first announced not too long into the 'cubes history also. if it comes out in 2017 that would mean the U has had a 5 year run. not too shabby.

(and its not exactly real successful....)

I don't know, will have to know more about it first. I was disappointed in Wii because I hate the controls for it. Jumping around and waving like crazy isn't my idea of fun, so if this is the same I likely will pass.

i'm not huge on motion controls myself but what game has you "jumping around and waving like crazy"? at most it had me doing some dedicated wrist flicking accentuated by forearms.

^Wii Sports boxing? Or maybe Dragon Quest Swords or Zelda: Skyward Sword [since the sword controls have you swinging the Wii-remote around like a sword]?

yeah, i played wii sports boxing he first few weeks i had my wii and...damn things were so unresponsive :skull: to me, at least...

LEFT HOOK! I DID A LEFT HOOK! (oh, now you punch)

squidward sword was better, responsiveness-wise for me. my movements were mostly wristbased and not exaggerated like in the instructions or whatever.

wonder how different Prime 3 would have been like if it came out later in the Wii's life cycle when people weren't obsessing as much over motion controls. i didn't have much problem with them (minus the grapple lasso, sometimes :x ) but they got old...fast.

Real-ly?
I found people who wear round frame glasses somewhat eccentric, weird, funny.
