I know they're used intermittently, but I don't view them as the same thing. To me a biscuit (kjeks) is the dry thing. If it's just that, then it's biscuit, and is usually used with cheese. If chocolate chips (or other sweet ingredients) are added to it, it's a cookie (småkake), like Maryland Cookies.

Skilpadde, you're quite right. I've never heard savoury biscuits referred to as cookies (but they are often called crackers) but the sweet types can be either biscuits or cookies. Biscotti, for instance, is always sweet.

Looks like a creamy white fondant icing.

i remember when my sister and my mom made a cake using fondant icing, instead of the usual frothy frosting.

it looked like a prop from a cgi dr. seuss book adaptation. i nearly got a toothache from the sweetness.

perhaps if the creamy white stuff therein was replaced with some icky Finnish food, Krabo would reconsider.

Krabo can have a black seaweed, marsh mud and tofu filling if he prefers. We like to please our guests!

^ Sounds like a tasty meal for a crab.

I'm glad I got the biscuit/cookie thing right.

If it was possible to die of cuteness, this would have finished me off:Image

Look at all those little cuties! Even their sweaters are cute! My fave is the one with the little octopus.
