No.

He glued two toothpicks to the one he picked-up

No. It's actually quite an arduous task, solving this riddle. Took me awhile.

He took the toothpick to another pile of toothpicks

Nope.

Hint: Think about the word 'nine'.

Roman Numerals
nine IX
eleven XI
twelve XII

He made a mistake while chalking down what he has been counting.

Another hint: the answer contains the word 'nine'.

The remaining eleven toothpicks were arranged to spell the word "nine"

I am blue, but I do not cry.
You may not see me when I run, but I am there.
My eyes are jades, but I may not be cynical.
Who or what am I?

Sonic has blue fur, looks like a blur when he runs, and has green irises.

Ok my turn.

"The Moors from Moorland have ten fingers on each hand five-and-twenty on hands and feet. How do you explain this feat?"

Hint: It's a play of phrase.

Just brainstorming here... A hand could be a hand of cards, which someone could be holding with 10 fingers, or "have 10 fingers on." There's also "giving someone a hand" meaning applause or help, depending on the context. I have no ideas about the "five-and-twenty on hands and feet" part though.

No it's quite literal, oh logic applies on this one .

Something in another thread has reminded me of this riddle.

Maybe it's a blatantly easy one, and not worthy to be posted here to be pounced on and solved instantly by the masterminds. But I am a Bear Of Very Little Brain, so I could never solve it, and had to be told the answer.

Explain what is wrong with the following statement:

If you dream you are about to die in your sleep, it means you will.

Edit: I would also post the riddle about the house with the three light bulbs, but I think it's quite well known. Does everyone already know it?

Just checking before I go to all the trouble of remembering it and typing it out. LOL
