'Booger' stood on top of a building, and put his mobile phone away in a pocket inside his headband. Booger was a small critter, and he resembled a strange mix of Pac-man (the yellow fur colour and that fact that he was essentially a head with arms and legs) and Sonic (the spiky hair). In his hand he held Starbuline, a sword that he had inherited after his father died. He stared at the Shaelik. Currently it was in it's shadow form in the middle of the intersection, just wafting there.
"Think we'll be able to do it?" Bob asked Booger.
"Probably."
"Probably?!"
"I've never taken on one THIS big before."
"How reassuring..."
"Well, I'd better get on with it." Booger slid down a drainage pipe to the ground and walked up to the Shaelik. It did not react in the slightest. He prodded it with one of the points at the end of his sword, and the Shaelik let out a deep and distorted mumble. And then Booger whacked it hard with the flat edge of his sword.
The Shaelik immediately morphed into it's bestial form, and Booger jumped back and readied himself. He took a quick glance at Bob, who was ready to provide support with some grenades (just because it's a magical being doesn't mean it can't be harmed by gunpowder). In fact, it was Bob who made the first move, throwing two grenades right into the head of the demon. soon after they went in, his head exploded and threw it's gas into the air. The Shaelik just formed a new head using the existing gas. Booger then cut at it with his sword, harming the beast.
The problem with Shaelik's wasn't because they were powerful. The problem was that they didn't need it, they just formed more body if it got removed. So the true problem was that no matter how hard you cut and hacked at it, it regenerated, so the trick was to cut pieces off it quickly enough so that it's can't bring back more body parts. What is fortunate is that nearly all Shaelik's do not have the intelligence to realize that they can form more body parts (at the expense of having less mass).
Booger hacked into the Shaelik some more to get into it. He had to get Koise out before they destroyed the beast, otherwise Koise would go down with it.
To Koise, each time Booger sliced, he saw a bright light in the shape of a cut flare up far off in the infinite distance. Bob threw some more grenades, which detonated the new head, and Koise looked up and saw an orange flare far above him. Booger cut and hacked some more, taking up more and more of his energy, as a Shaelik's gas gets denser the further inwards you get. The cutting flashes grew nearer to Koise, and seemed to get closer at a vastly alarming rate. Another orange flash flared up and faded away again and Booger made one final hack into what now felt like thick butter, and then dived his hand in.
Koise saw a yellow gloved hand shove out of nowhere and offered to take his hand (not in marriage). Koise was reluctant, and prodded it with his finger. The hand then clamped his wrist and pulled him through.
As Koise burst out like a new-born, he was surprised to see such a little guy standing in front of him.
"Who the heck are you?!" Koise asked as they ran away from the Shaelik to regain ground.
"Booger!"
"So you're the one who texted me?! SHEESH you're sloppy!"
"I was in a hurry!"
What now?
A) Run away and hope the damned thing goes away
B) Defeat the Shaelik
C) Cut back to see what Marilyn and Kipo are doing right now.

Okay, the summary: Koise gets a letter in the middle of the night from his friend Bob calling for help. Koise rests and heads off in the morning. He takes the road through the forest to get there quicker. On the way he bumps into Kipo, and right from the start it's obvious that she thinks and acts differently. Koise decides the have her tag along, but then it starts raining and Koise and Kipo hide in a hollow tree trunk and eat a bit. When the rain stops they set out again and meet Marilyn. By this time it is getting dark, and Marilyn had just escaped from having her parents murdered right in front of her by use of a shotgun and a sword. They head to the town and after a bit of walking run into the Shaelik, where Koise fights it but is engulfed. Fortunately, Bob shows up with Booger and he gets out.

Sorry! Red Dwarf is addictive.
Also, you can only choose one if it's plot-related, but I'll try and fit you decision in.
Koise and Booger dashed down the road and climbed up the water tower, as the Shaelik recovered from it's wounds.

"Arh flitch." Koise said. Koise glanced to his left and saw a road leading off. "Run!" he yelled. "Make your way to Bob's house!"
Kipo and Marilyn dashed off down the street at high pace. Kipo right away felt that she couldn't keep up, and was struggling behind. Marilyn turned and saw her panting, and immediately went back to help her along.
"C'mon, we have to get away!" She said
"I know!" Kipo replied. They ran as fast as each of them could for a long while (for what a small town can offer) and then turned right into an old warehouse and hid in the back of a pile of large crates stacked unevenly up towards the ceiling. They then sat down and breathed heavily. For a while there was no talk, just panting.
Marilyn then sighed and said "You okay?"
"Yes." Kipo replied.
More panting. Marilyn stopped, but Kipo kept on. She wasn't used to running like that at all.
"Not used to running like that?" Marilyn asked
"No, I am not."
Kipo slowed down, and then stopped. There was silence in the air, not a single noise to be heard bar their own movements. In the distance however, they heard explosions and out of a large grimy window, they could see flashes of orange from above the buildings.
Sorry, I'm recording something at the moment, and AS being AS, it's deviating me from my writing. I'll update as soon as I can!

"So," said Marilyn, "why are you so quiet Kipo?"
"I do not consider myself to be quiet."
"So when do you talk?"
"I only talk if I have something to say or if somebody asks me a question."
"Ah, okay. Do you ever ask any questions?"
"Only if I feel I want to have something answered."
"Such as?"
Kipo was silent.
"Such as?"
"I do not understand."
"What sort of questions do you want answered?"
Kipo considered this, and said "I do not know."
Marilyn though Kipo was extremely difficult to strike up a conversation with.
"What do you think about dresses?"
"Pardon?" the question jolted Kipo out of her own thoughts.
"What do you think about dresses?"
"I do not know. I have never worn a dress."
"C'mon, you must think something of them!"
Kipo paused and considered this. "I do not think anything about dresses."
"Why not?"
Kipo felt awkward, and she didn't like it. "Because dresses do not interest me."
"Seriously?"
"I am being serious."
"What about jewelery?"
Kipo paused again. She didn't know how to answer this.
"What do you think about jewelery?" Marilyn was getting slightly irritated.
"I do not think anything of jewelry."
"Lemma guess; because they don't interest you?"
"I suppose so."
Marilyn sighed in frustration. Kipo sucked at small talk, she felt.
Cut back to the fight?
A) Yes, cut back to the fight!
B) No, I'm more interested in Kipo and Marilyn.

You want blood? Okay then...
Blood streamed down Koise's face. Wet and sticky, it was like the Niagara Falls at sunset. It got all over his fur and stung his eyes in immense amounts of pain and anguish. He wished it would stop right then, right now, but he knew that it would never stop, never stop for anything...
Of course, that actually happened on a previous outing Koise had. Right now he was halfway up that water tower, but he was thinking of that moment. Whenever he was in a fight he had a direct fear that the fight would wind up like that one two years ago. He only survived because he found a healing spring when the opponent left for him to die and fester.
Koise reached the top, and saw the Shaelik move towards them and start flowing up a pole, like how you can see Coke flow up a transparent straw. Koise helped Booger up, and as Koise activated the water crystal again, Booger said
"Now what?"
"Now what what?"
"NOW WHAT?!"
"I dunno, you're the hero!"
"I thought you were the hero!"
"Doesn't mean I know what I'm doing!"
The two anxious and not-being-very-co-operative-with-each-other heroes stood and waited for the Shaelik to appear and engulf them as they fought it off. It's shadow crept over the edge of the roof of the tower, and Koise immediately fired a jet of water at it.
And this time it actually did something.
Like Pine-o-clean to grease, or a water hose to a grimy patio, the water washed off the part of the Shaelik and absorbed that portion, trapping it away from the Shaelik. 'Finally!' Koise thought 'We can fight back!' Another portion crept up, and was duly blasted away to the ground. Then Booger got an idea. He whipped out his mobile phone and went on speed-dial No. 3 (No.'s 2 & 1 were the Dry Cleaners and the Local Fish and Chips shop).
"Hello?"
"Hey Bob"
"Wha-Shouldn't you be fighting?! I can't find you guys!"
"We're on top of the water tower!"
"Oh right! I'll be there soon!"
"WAIT!!" Booger said, worried Bob would hang up, "We need four grenades to the tops of each of the water tower's suppourt beams. Think you can do that?"
"I'll use your slingshot to get them there, no prob!"
"Than-wait MY slingshot?!"
"Eh-heh, see ya!" and Bob hung up.
"That cheeky bugger!" Bogger said, "I wondered where the hell that went!"
Bob ran as fast as he could to the water tower. He soon stood right under it for a clear shot.
The great thing about Booger's slingshot is that he's modified it extensively. He hand-carved it out of Rimu wood and bought the elastic from a Gum Factory. He also added a lasersight so that, presuming you can shoot straight, you never miss!
Bob got out a grenade put it in. He held it in such a way that when he let go, the grenade flew off, but the pin, around his index finger, would pull out as a result. Fire one: a clean shot with a fiery blossom taking out the first beam. The second was off, but the explosion was such that it took out the beam anyway. Now for the last one. He fired, but the sweat from his hand made him slip, and the grenade exploded short of the top, taking out a large chunk of the beam below it. 'Uh-oh' Bob thought. The water tower leaned over to the side under the weight, and bent far. Then the stub of the remaining third beam cut through the bottom and gashed a hole right through the bottom. As it cut right though it, the fourth beam snapped and whipped around for a bit. But the top of the tower kept falling.
Koise thought quickly, and rummaged around in his backpack on the unstable roof. He then got out his Swingwhip, a gun-like gadget the size of a large pistol and having three coiling barrels.
"Grab my hand!" Koise said
"Sure thing bro!" Booger said. Koise jumped off and fired the Swingwhip at the fourth beam. Three glowing yellow coils shot out and spiraled around each other as they hit the last beam and pulled Koise towards it as he held the trigger.
The Shaelik, trapped on this large object but with nowhere to go, searched frantically for a way off, but to no avail. The top of the tower smashed into the ground engulfing the Shaelik in water and dissolving it into a mist in the water, and so did not exist anymore, had no life force. It's kills did not show up, as they were kept in the void of a Shaelik even after death.
Koise lowered he and Booger down to the ground, and made tracks to find Marilyn.
How will they find her and Kipo?
A) Search the entire town
B) Head to Bob's house and hope they meet them there
C) The easy way: Call her on her mobile and ask where she is.
Opinion: Would this thread benefit from more voters?
i) Yes
ii) Maybe
iii) Dunno
iv) No
