I'm putting a chicken in the oven soon.

Another chicken? Sounds nice!

Any special herbs, spices or sauce this time?

Any lemons up the butt?

Do you think I'm some kind of master chef?

I think a lemon up the bottom is more than enough. Don't you?

A clove of crushed garlic or two would also be rather nice...together with the lemon.

I have heaps of chicken recipes, of which I've only tried a few... but right now, being 99% vegetarian, I haven't been using them...

I had a boyfriend who told everyone he was veggie but when we was at home together he used to eat burgers and fried chicken. I could never understand why he did that.

What do you eat the other 1% of the time?

How smart of you, and typically Aspie, to wonder about the remaining 1%... which is when I eat fish, or other meat as an ingredient in dishes that I pretend are vegetarian (mostly prepared by my mom) as for me it's not a religion, where I need to ask confession for the occasional lapse, but a way of preference which also helps my digestion and my health.

So there you have it in a nutshell - a "predominantly vegetarian omnivore."

I love fish but I'm not confident to cook it. But it is really good for you. Sometimes we get fish and chips from the chippy.

That's nice. I can tell you're British. Americans have different preferences - the fattier the better. Heard of their Mississippi Mud Pie? And McDonalds of course?

But pizza is something I really enjoy.

Fish and chips is extremely fatty. Its fish deep fried in batter and chips of course.

In Scotland they have deep fried mars bars. Not the healthiest choice.

You can ask for fish grilled in garlic or herb butter - they do it here. A girl made me some fish some time back grilled in a pan with lemon and freshly ground crystal salt and black pepper, served with fresh green salad. Mmm!

Now that does sound nice, a real treat. I'm a bit full at the minute after my chicken.
