Rotten borough's eh! Very interesting. We don't have them anymore but we do have boroughs. Maybe they took the word rotten off to make them sound more attractive to settle in. Like Bolton is a borough in the county of Lancashire. I would think that hundreds of years ago Bolton could have very well been a rotten borough. I've not really looked at this before now.

I think that due to the sheer velocity of this post I really ought to win. Plus I should get extra points because I had to Wikipedia before I could post.

Should I take a bow now or should I save it for the celebrations later?
