i usually picture myself as a side character who gets very little screen time, and usually sits around scanning the characters and learning about them.

(like in real life). :oops:

Or when you read a book and imagine how the world inside it looks like. It's amazing.
I've always thought of books as portals that take you into another world.
There's a series of video games, called Myst, in which a race of people called the D'ni write books that link to the worlds they describe. I've managed to finish the second game in the series, Riven.

I don't think I ever got to play it, though.

I like watching historical documentaries and imagining myself living in those civilisations during those times. 'Tis fun. :)

Yes, they are okay for a visit, but I don't think I would want to live in those old times.
