^ I can. I looked it up and found it on a Korean maths website. It's accurate. :)

I think I won. If you should disagree, please contact me with a PM but DON'T post here.

I would comply with your suggestion, but this very important matter needs to be discussed by the community at large.

Now, I kinda feel like you didn't win.
In fact, I think I just did. Even though this is to be seen as a community service, not an attempt at winning the game.

So let's put it up for discussion, who here think Krabo won? Any other suggestions to who may have won? Let's hear it, guys!

I guess we're all winners here.

Even if just for half a minute or so... :P

Skilpadde, they want to try and build a cableway at great cost up to one of the wildest parts of the Drakensberg Range of KwaZulu Natal. Neither the local community (amaZizi people in the valley) nor the provincial tourism authority are in favour of this rash project. I hope it never goes ahead.

It may be fine in Cape Town which is a major tourist attraction in the city, but why in the middle of nowhere where it's not even economically feasible and would destroy the whole atmosphere of the Berg to satisfy a few inflated egos stuffing chairs where they're not wanted?

I do care about the environment as well, so the sentinel part is appropriate. I don't manage to do as much as I would like, but try at any rate.

They need to put "us lot" in leadership if they want to see changes for the better!!

That's awful! I can't stand it when someone tries to push through nonsensical projects like that despite protests from both those affected by it and the experts.
I hope it will be stopped. Let the wild be just that!

Great that there are more of us here! I do my best too.

Yes, "us lot" definitely need to be in leading positions so things can change for the better. We aren't the only ones who care about it, but I don't think many others care as much as we do about these things.
Of course, in some cases we'd need majority in the national assembly as well, not "just" a person at the top.

i also hope the project is scrapped. any pictures of the proposed railway?
with loads of people going up to that area it does not seem it's going to be wild for long before it develops. that's how it usually goes.

there's a similar project going on here, the Chumash want to guild a 12 story tower in the hilly Santa Ynez Valley, it will stick out more than a sore thumb in this rural area (and we have no water to waste)

the difference is, this project has the green light.

Madness. Talk about ruining the natural look and beauty of nature! I'm not surprised it got the green light though; bad ideas usually do.
That's as bad as the proposed mall in Grand Canyon. I read about it on Care2, where I found this link: http://grandcanyonescalade.com/

How do you pronounce Ynez? Is it like with the French u or rather like with the German ü?

us english speaking locals say I-nez. EE - nez. (or EE-nes in spanish, sometimes spelled Inés.)

Ynez was the spanish version of Agnes, as in Saint Agnes. Agnes of Rome.
