Things are quite alright, most highest, grand exalted Moomin! We finally have a whole week off for Thanksgiving and I've been doing some holiday shopping for a family in need my class adopted.

it's finally chilly out here to the point i can see my breath (: despite that i am in the mood for some icecream.

how are things going in Aotearoa?

Ridiculously busy, things have been a bit stressful recently, which is why I haven't been on. I'm not going to around much for the next couple of weeks either, but for nicer reasons.

We're in spring here, so the weather is veering wildly between lovely and wild. Kind of like me, now I think anout it.

I'm still at my friend's place in Johannesburg and it's cool and cloudy today. There was quite a rainstorm during the night.

I love a good rainstorm, as long as the whole family is tucked up safe and sound inside.

He's gone out to dump some stuff for recycling and buy a few things.

I have the two Dachsies here with me. They were so excited to see me when I got here.

They don't allow cats in their territory, however... they appear to view them as unwanted alien intruders.

I do too! The sound of rain against my window is my favorite sound. It's so soothing. I am the one who always is happy about rain, unlike everyone else I know.

when i first saw that post i thought i read "trains". i enjoy hearing the whistle of a faraway train in bed (well, couch) late at night. always have.
rain is really soothing too, whenever we get it. pitter patter..

ALSO regarding your trouble in the "Funny false Friends" thread (since you might not be able to see it there)

try:

going to the bottom of the page, where it says "sort by: (post time) (ascending)", under "ascending" (the default setting, and what i assume you have), change it to '"descending". you'll see all the new posts, in backwards order of course.

you won't be able to see the oldest posts in that setting but you can change it back. unfortunately both ways, all the middle posts have vanished it seems.

Somehow I don't think "The sound of train against my window" would be very soothing!

I used to live close to a railway when I was little. I loved seeing and hearing the trains passing by. One of the first words I said was "tut" (that's what we call it when trains hoot here).
