Incompleteness rules out your having won, but I think I can beat the system of reality

Have a close look at the latest item to this thread. Does it or does it not prove that Krabo is the winner?

Unless and until the mods start locking threads for being excessively long, the possible number of posts in this thread is an infinite sequence from the number of the last post in the direction of positive infinity. Claiming victory is analogous to claiming to have found the largest positive integer.

What if this thread is larger on the inside than it appears to be on the outside, i.e. not countably infinite but uncountably infinite?

I've got it. We'll define a post, number i, 0 < i < +∞, as the open interval (i - 1, i + 1). We can then define a topology on the strictly positive real numbers, (0, ∞) with those intervals as the open sets. I think that will work, but I need to refresh my memory on the rules for a valid topology. It has to contain X, okay. That's an easy open set. It has to contain the null set. Always easy. It has to be closed under unions. That's straightforward enough. Every union of open sets is also an open set. It has to be closed under finite intersections.

That's usually where things get tricky. I think I have a counterexample. (i, i + 1) is the intersection of (i - 1, i + 1) and (i, i + 2), but is not in the proposed topology. So, not a valid topology. I hadn't got it.

Maybe use the interval (i - 1, i). Nope, {U(i - 1, i) | i = 1, 2, 3, ...} ≠ X

Meh. At least I win.

Obviously to me, the limit of my post is your post. We can share all the space in between, but as soon as you post, I no longer win.

It was just a bunch of tail chasing.

I'm still in an out-of-body state.

if you aren't in your body, can someone else inhabit it temporarily?

Running out of mobile data made me realize all the Wi-Fi opportunities I'd been missing
