< a G-tube is a specialized device, that is inserted through the stomach wall and leaves a small connector on the belly, a G-tube is used for feeding an infusion for people who cannot swallow due to neuromuscular disability or other disorders of the swallowing mechanism. I have a G-tube because I cannot swallow because of my neurological disease. I can still swallow thin liquids but I cannot eat solid food. I need to G-tube because just drinking thin liquids would never work.
