I agree with you, Enviro, about the pros and cons. Our winters can be awful, though. However, I prefer wintertime because it's easier to sleep when it's dark outside. -- Your summers must be something I have never experienced, with temperatures hovering above +40 °C. We can have the same reading of frost, –40 °C.

It is the site of the notorious Siege of Sveaborg when Finland was separated from Sweden and annexed to Russia, in 1808. On your screen, top right, the button Maastokartta (geographical map) is highlighted. Next to it, the button Ilmakuva (aerial photograph) will display the current view.

maybe enviro can help me solve the mystery of where my big map went! the one i spent forever drawing, detailing every..last river....naming every last town and hamlet, drawing every mountain, filling in every lake.... :wall: :wall: :wall:

might have shown them before.

the above is a section of a map of nara province i did in my senior year. quite proud of it.

the below is a small section of hanow, the relatively underdeveloped western "arm", specifically. started working on it sometime late 2013.
