Ligament

1986

The Boston Celtics win their 16th NBA Championship, still a record, and the Boston Red Sox win the AL Pennant. Unfortunately, the Red Sox lost in seven games to the Mets in the World Series, and we all know how that transpired. I am finishing my Freshman year of HS and starting my Sophomore year. Pretty much a Skate Rat and social outcast. Apparently, I was a hit with the ladies, but had no idea what to do about it.

Influential Music:
R.E.M. "Life's Rich Pageant" - One of my all time favorites. So deep and so textured.
Beastie Boys "Licensed To Ill" - Only tape I ever wore out and had to replace.
Whodini "Back In Black"
Run-D.M.C. "Raising Hell"
Depeche Mode "Black Celebration"

Monty Python

Post 1993:

In 1993, I was still madly in love and had a great year. One of the best of my life. In fact, probably the last truly happy year of my life. Worked the summer at Kentucky Kingdom, where I met that idiot from MTV's Real World. You know, the guy from Kentucky. He actually would wear Real World t-shirts...as if nobody knew who he was. What a loser! Lots of concerts, including Lollapalooza again, plus Pearl Jam, U2, The Ocean Blue, They Might Be Giants, and The Samples. Actually, I saw The Samples 3-4 times a year over a 10-year span. They hooked up me with backstage access at the H.O.R.D.E. Festival at Merriweather Post Pavilion, which was fun.

Music
Björk "Debut"
The Breeders "Last Splash"
Cracker "Kerosene Hat" - Always helped when I felt low.
James "Laid"
Midnight Oil "Earth And Sun And Moon"
The Samples "The Last Drag" - One of the greatest albums of all time.
Nirvana "In Utero" - Why Kurt, why?
New Order "Republic"
The Ocean Blue "Beneath The Rhythm And Sound"
Pearl Jam "Vs" - This is actually my favorite album of theirs.
Pet Shop Boys "Very"
Prime Minister Pete Nice & Daddy Rich "Dust To Dust"
Primus "Pork Soda"
The Reverend Horton Heat "Full Custom Gospel Sounds"
The Smashing Pumpkins "Siamese Dream"
Tool "Undertow"
U2 "Zooropa"

Butt

Sorry, but I HAD to go there.

Post #2003:

In 2003, my son was born. He is my best bud and may very well have AS as well. He is OCD about Star Wars and knows the colors of every Jedi's lightsaber and when Hasbro screws up, and makes the wrong color for an action figure, he gets very upset. He also loves Spider-Man. Went to the ALCS in Fenway Park for Games 4 & 5. I really thought it was our year, but then Aaron <Bleeping> Boone...ARGH! That's alright, 2004 is coming...

Music from 2003:
Barenaked Ladies "Everything To Everyone"
Blur "Think Tank"
Dropkick Murphys "Blackout" - Lead singer names his son Strummer in honor of The Clash rocker.
Guster "Keep It Together" - International recognition came with this record. Actually went to Amsterdam to record the video for 'Amsterdam'.
Homestar Runner Dot Com "Strong Bad Sings And Other Type Hits"
Jeep "Cool & Easy" - Former drummer for The Samples puts out a phenomenal solo effort. A true classic.
The Jesus & Mary Chain "Live In Concert"
Joe Strummer And The Mescaleros "Streetcore" - We miss you Strummer.
Linkin Park "Meteora"
Linkin Park "Live In Texas"
Mitch Hedberg "Mitch All Together" - We miss you Mitch!
Nerf Herder "My E.P."
A Perfect Circle "Thirteenth Step"
R.E.M. "In Time - The Best Of R.E.M. 1988-2003"
Rage Against The Machine "Live At The Grand Olympic Auditorium"
The Samples "Instant Live The Paradise In Boston, MA (20 April 2003)"
Sean Kelly & Tom Askin "Seventeen" - A beautiful acoustic classic from the lead singer of The Samples and their rhythm guitarist and former lead singer of Alaskan.
Seven Mary Three "Welcome Race Fans" - EP they used to shop around for a new label after Mammoth collapsed. Also released as "Weed, CA", where it was recorded.
2 Skinnee J's "Enter The Gold Hat: Sexy Karate Live!"
2 Skinnee J's "Instant Live The Axis In Boston, MA (17 April 2003)"
2 Skinnee J's "Sexy Karate" - They were gaining momentum and more recognition. Amazing this ended up being their last studio album.
