Yeah, I totally understand it not being clear-cut----I was so disappointed in my best friend's father. We're not friends, anymore (not because of that); and we grew-up together, and I always called him "Dad". It sucked, BIG-TIME, when he did what he did.....

If it had been a stranger that did to me, what he did to you, I would've punched his lights, out----as I'm sure YOU would have. I totally backed a guy up into a wall, one time, with my finger in his face----and I'm sure there were flames coming-from my eyes (LOL)----and smoke comin'-out of my ears----and he never tried anything like that again!!
