"Tetra Alpha Dimension." Enye corrected. "the Terra Alpha Dimension is something entirely different. Anyway, Tetra Alpha is..." She drifted off around the ship as if expecting the dimension to just appear out of nowhere. "Right around here." She pointed to a seemingly random spot in the middle of the ship. Then, as everyone watched, Enye grabbed what seemed to be thin air, pulled, and stuck her head into a gap in nothing. They could hear her voice echoing. "Hi, Epona! How are you and the girls?" No one could hear the answer very well, but it sounded friendly enough. "Great! Aelkai and I will come visit eventually. How are the knights?" The answer involved a lot of grumbling and annoyed grunts. "I thought so. Well, good luck anyway." Enye removed her head from the rift and grinned. "Epona is the chieftess of the Headless Horsewomen. She and I go way back. Once she even wanted to do an energy fusion dance with me, but I then asked her 'But what would the children be like?" and we had to call it off."

[Deep Space Nine's crew pretty much threw maybe twenty Starfleet regulations and rules out an airlock, letting Enye and Aelkai wander around the station like that.]

Both Laura and Calem looked at Eyne as if she had just opened a portal in space wih just her hands like it was no big deal, which is exactly what she did. "How did you do that!?" Laura asked, moving her hands in a weird motion to see what and if she could do that too.

"I can only enter Tetra Alpha like that, and only because Epona and I are friends." Enye explained. "Trying to pull open a gap in any dimension otherwise would be quite as rude as going into someone's house and ripping the front door off the hinges."

(OOC: LOL, tut tut. Q breaks every rule in the book, and we've got all the magic, so why not throw a few Starfleet regs out the airlock when Enye and Aelkai are around?

The trick to making it work though is to show how the characters change when they're around Enye and Aelkai. You showed some of that. Maybe another couple of sentences about how the other characters felt around them, or maybe an example of their loyalty or friendship, why they might've been worth the risk. I do think sending Aelkai to a planet with a communication device would be humane though and not something to fuss over too much.)

Guinan laughed at the story of the horsewomen and thought their dimension sounded like somewhere Q would want to be. She certainly wasn't going to suggest it though. Instead, she asked, "That sea serpent, where is she now? In space?"

"She's right outside the ship." Enye calmly pointed out the ship window at the gigantic sea serpent curling and uncurling in open space.

Meanwhile, on Deep Space Nine:

"We sent out the subspace messages, but there's been no response from Enye." Kira reported as soon as Sisko arrived.
"It was worth a try." Sisko replied, and then turned to Dr. Bashir. "Has Aelkai changed at all?"
"No. She's still completely sealed." Dr. Bashir answered, but he looked puzzled. "Her life signs are different than most aliens, but for some reason they keep fluctuating."
"Any theories as to why?" Sisko asked, equally puzzled.
"I have no idea. I mean, I did do many scans and tests on her when she and Enye first came here, but they just made my equipment go haywire. We don't even know what species they are, or if they even have a species." Dr. Bashir looked rather excited at the prospect of studying Aelkai more.
"Julian, remember how scared Enye was of all your tests? She had probably never seen so much technology all in one place, so for all we know, scanning Aelkai a lot might make her react in the same way, even if she is sealed." Dax reminded him.
"True. I'll just scan her every hour or so, then." Dr. Bashir concluded.

[I just thought of something. What if the Federation or the Cardassians or Borg or whatever heard about Enye and Aelkai and wanted to take them away and conduct experiments on them or something, and DSN was one of the only safe places for them, since it's out in the middle of nowhere?]

"Oh, I'm so sorry!" She said, not wanting to seem mean after saying that she wanted to do the equivalent of ripping someone's front door off of the hinges.

But when Eyne pointed out the window, Laura gasped in suprise. "She's so pretty!"

"No need to apologize. Have I told any of you how I accidentally gatecrashed a wedding in another dimension by accidentally doing that? I ended up meeting another version of me. Anyway..." Enye smiled absently, lost in old memories.
Then her eyes changed slightly, as if an eerie fire had been lit in them. "There is something I could do for Aelkai...But is it worth...?"

Meanwhile, back on DSN:

Kira's comm badge beeped at her, but she figured it was Odo.
"We can't contact Enye, so who knows where she is. Aelkai's still sealed, at least. The commander's with Jadiza, trying to work out what to do next." She told him.
"Quark keeps asking me for updates. I had no idea he cared so much." Odo remarked dryly. "Or maybe he just wants Enye to come back so he can ask her for those precious stones she carries around in her cloak."
Kira smiled in spite of herself.

"Does it involve you turning into that creature again?" Guinan asked, concerned.

(OOC: Yeah, the experiment angle sounds good. Is Aelkai on some planet?)

"No, thankfully." Enye replied, and then muttered, "Where's Jian when I need her..." She pulled her crystal phone thingy out of her cloak and shook it twice, as if it was a finicky communicator. Then it beeped four times, and at last a far-away voice asked "Hello?"
"Jian, where are you???" Enye practically yelled.
"I'm at Hogwarts." came the reply.
"Wha...what?" Enye mumbled, looking bewildered.
"I'm teaching at this great magic school called Hogwarts! I have no idea how I ended up here, I mean, all I did was mess around with the teleporter from the Doctor."
"I need you here." Enye insisted.
"Where is here?" Jian replied, sounding highly amused.
"There's a small ship orbiting a green and blue planet in the Pokemon universe, and I'm inside."
"Which universe? The one with the humans and Pokemon, or the ones with just Pokemon?" Jian asked.
"The former." Enye replied, and made a face at the phone. "Are you messing with me?"
"Yes, yes I am." Jian exclaimed happily.
"Aelkai needs help." Enye interrupted.
"I'm coming. Hopefully I'll get this right." The phone beeped, and appeared to shut itself off.

Enye waited patiently, but Jian didn't appear until ten minutes had passed. "Sorry!" She apologized cheerfully, smoothing out her wings and crouching so she didn't hit her head on anything. "I was in the middle of teaching class when you called." Everyone else was staring at Jian, and Guinan was wondering if things could get any weirder.

[Yes, O'Brien beamed her down to a planet and Dr. Bashir is keeping an eye on her thanks to scans and stuff.]

(OOC: ROFL Hogwarts. Gotta love this roleplay. Where else can you have all these different universes converge and be along for the ride? I'm glad I thought to read this thread and have Q force Guinan to join the fun.)

"How did you find us?" Guinan said by way of greeting to the newcomer.

"It took awhile. Apparently there's more than one small ship orbiting a blue green planet in this universe. I hope those scientists didn't see me...Anyway, hi, all!" Jian grinned excitedly, and waved to the room in general. "Oh, you're Guinan, right? Capt. Picard mentioned you, I think."
Enye sighed and hugged her sister tightly. "I am glad to see you again."
"Wait...Enye, what happened to your wings?" Jian pulled away and felt along Enye's back under the cloak.
"That...That's classified." Enye muttered, not looking her sister in the eye.
"You sound like Councilor Troi. Every time I tried to get her to explain to me how the Holodeck worked or whatever, she would say 'That's classified.' I don't think she knew any more than I did." Jian remarked bluntly.
"We...um...Aelkai and I...we ran into...never mind." Enye began, a shifty expression in her eyes.

Guinan nodded at Jian, confused. "How do you know the captain?" she asked. "Did he tell you why I look like a kid now?"

("Or the one with just Pokemon?" Are you refrencing the game I think your referencing? Also, has anybody seen a cartoon called Star vs. the Forces of Evil? I think that those two would fit in pretty well here, not with the main characters just... Side characters? I dunno, but that would be frickin' awesome! And HGFDJGFDHGFDHTR! I freaking love Harry Potter!

Laura's eyes sparkled. "Hogwarts? That's from a book series we have here, and your telling me that it's a real place?!" She squealed, in a fangirling fashion.

"Oh, and, hi Eyne's sis! I'm Laura, and this..." She quickly motioned with her hand for Calem to come over. "Is my lovely boyfriend, Calem!"

[Yes, Midnightstar, I am referencing the Mystery Dungeon games. Do you have a favourite Harry Potter book? I like book 3 and 6 best.]

"I was recently holidaying on the Enterprise, and then we were attacked by the Borg, so Capt. Picard didn't have much time to tell me stories." Jian looked slightly apologetic at Guinan, but grinned amiably at Laura. "Yes, and I am a teacher at Hogwarts, a substitute teacher, actually. Well, I was, but I might go back there eventually. Anyway, you said that Aelkai needed help?" Jian asked Enye, valiantly trying to reroute the conversation back to why she was even there.
"May I borrow your teleporter?" Enye asked in an oddly flat voice.
"Go ahead, as long as you bring it back." Jian unstrapped the teleporter from her wrist and strapped it onto Enye's instead. "Where are you going, again?"
"I need to get back to Deep Space Nine. I'll be back soon, though." With that, Enye poked at several buttons on the teleporter and vanished.

Meanwhile, on DSN:

"Commander, new life readings have suddenly appeared on the planet!" Kira exclaimed, staring in bewilderment at the computer. "But they're constantly shifting and...I can't tell what they are!"
"If they're that distorted, it's probably Enye." Dr. Bashir moved closer to look.
"Should we send someone down there?" Dax asked Sisko, who nodded at her thoughtfully.
"Aelkai seemed to like you best, so beam down to the planet and see if Enye needs any assistance. But get Odo to assign you a security team, Dax, just in case." He added. "Report back once you're down there."

Guinan frowned at Jian's news, and then she made a connection. "You're the one who called Enye for help, and we saw... The Doctor, whoever he is. I think he assisted the Enterprise during the attack," she said after Enye had gone. Guinan still had no way of knowing if she and Jian were from the same timeline.

"The Doctor has been friends with us--with me and Enye and Aelkai--for...mm...I've lost count." Jian grinned, evidently reminiscing. "Yes, he scared all the Borg away. He's like that." She laughed at the incredulous expression on Guinan's face. "He's a bit like Q, actually, but much nicer and politer. So is it true that you tried to attack Q with a fork once? Capt. Picard did tell me that story, at least."

Meanwhile, on the planet near DSN:

Enye stepped forwards after landing, stumbling a bit on the grass but relived that she had teleported to the right planet. Aelkai's crystallized form towered above her, frozen and contorted. Enye turned in surprise as she heard the sound of several people transporting, and was quite glad to see Dax again, albeit Dax accompanied by a handful of security officers. However, her friend's arrival inadvertently made her task harder, as she was now more likely to be distracted.
"Please try not to distract me, Jadiza." She called as Dax quickly ran up to her.
"Do you need any help?" Dax asked, looking slightly worried.
"No, I am fine. Please hold this-" Enye handed Dax her cloak "and this-" She unstrapped the teleporter. "But be careful not to press anything on it. I doubt Commander Sisko would be amused if I accidentally kidnapped you."
Enye then took several deep breaths, fully to her core, and then gently put her hands against Aelkai's clawed ones [though she had to be especially careful, as Aelkai's claws were even sharper in crystal].
The crystal began to recede until nothing remained, as if melting into Enye's palms. Yet Aelkai remained motionless, as if still sealed, white eyes staring blankly into Enye's.
From Dax's perspective, Enye suddenly burst into white flames, and resisted the urge to do something, anything.
"Come to me." Enye whispered, pressing her forehead against Aelkai's, ignoring the heat of the magic surrounding her. "Find your truest self."
Dax gasped in amazement as Aelkai gradually un-transformed, her claws re-entering her body, her tail and wings becoming part of her spine again, her eyes slowly loosing their colourlessness. But when she looked again, Enye was gone, and Aelkai was standing alone in her nightgown on the grassy plain.
