Guinan didn't react as the mysterious stranger joined Lily. By now, she was getting used to all the seemingly random appearances and disappearances.

Guinan nodded and listened quietly as Jian caught them up. She looked at Calem. "So all of this isn't your fault," she said. "The barrier needed to be broken, or Aelkai might've mtayed sealed a long time." She smiled kindly at the little girl and spoke to Jian. "So, with all the excitement, I never got your name."

'My name is Jian, but that is not who I am." Jian answered cheekily, for she often enjoyed confusing people.
Meanwhile, Aelkai was wandering around giving everyone hugs and saying that she loved them, to their distinct bemusement. She then pulled at Jian's cloak and said, "I want to ride on the sea serpent!"
"Sea...serpent...?" Jian repeated, looking befuddled, and when Aelkai pointed out the window, she literally did a double take. "Why is there a sea serpent in space?!"

"Eyne summoned her." Laura said simply. "I wanna pet her!" She chirped exitedly.

"I..um...She might not fit in the ship." Jian pointed out, apparently unable to say anything besides the obvious in her amazement. Aelkai pressed her hands to the window and stared, utterly enchanted, gazing at the sea serpent curling in loop-de-loops as if infusing her whole being with such a fantastic creature. "I suppose I could cast safety-spells so we could all go out and see her close up." Jian suggested, albeit rather dubiously.
A soft smile alighted on Star-Enye's face, akin to a candle suddenly lighting, and warm, wonderful light seemed to spread from her very essence.

Mike floats to the back of the ship and opens a small hatch in the wall to reveal a rack holding a bunch of space suits. "Or we could just use these. The docking port on this ship doubles as an airlock so we could use that to go outside. I will need to go out anyway once the 3D printer is finished making the replacement peripheral circuit." Mike notices a suit in there which has the left sleeve missing below the elbow and instead there is a small latch mechanism that looks like it can hook onto a similar latch at the base of Mike's robotic arm. "Ooh, they packed my personal space suit in here. It's pretty awesome, it allows my prosthetic arm to be exposed."

"Oh. Well, that works, too." Jian said awkwardly, peering curiously at the space suits. She had never seen any kind of suit like them before, and wondered how they could possibly work.
"Is there one small enough for me?" Aelkai asked hopefully.

The suits are very compact and thin, so a lot of them could be fit in the suit rack and they came in multiple sizes. Mike looks over the suits for a moment. "Yep, there are some rather small ones in here. You should be able to find one that fits. Anyway, I'm going to get my space suit on." He takes his space suit and enters the small airlock room through the door at the back of the crew compartment. When he comes out a few minutes later he looks the same except that there is a white glove on his right hand, his lab coat is buttoned up to it doesn't float freely, and there is a fairly large device near the back of his neck vaguely resembling a hoodie that can fold out into a helmet.

The space suits are designed to fit very tightly because they use elastic pressure instead of air pressure to keep the body at the correct pressure and the only part that uses air pressure is the helmet. The suit is meant to be worn under clothing so it can apply pressure directly on the skin without fabric or buttons getting in the way, it doesn't interfere with mobility and it's quite comfortable.

Laura fumbled through the space siuts. "Found one! I'm glad I don't have to wear one of those fasion disasters that I've seen people wear for space siuts." She seemed rather exited that she would be able to fly without whacking her head.

She went to go change and came back, the only thing that was different was that her arms were covered. "And I can still wear my pretty dress! Nice!" She chirped.

"Nice to meet you, Jian," Guinan said, and she introduced the others as well. She laughed as Laura again expressed her desire to pet the sea serpent.

Guinan looked the space suits over with approval. "These suits are well made and well designed," she said to Mike. "Are we all going outside then?" she asked him, holding a space suit in her hand.

Mike goes down to the cargo area and comes back up a few seconds later holding a circuit board which he stows in his pocket. "The 3D printer just finished the peripheral circuit, so I will need to go outside of the ship now to replace the broken peripheral circuit on the ship. Anyone who wants to come is welcome to."

[Can the characters communicate even in space while wearing the suits? Regardless, I'll just have Enye and Aelkai use their telepathy.]

Can you hear it? Can you hear the Universe Song always singing, forever and forever in us? The voice everyone heard was unmistakably Enye's, and the star girl seemed so effulgent and beautiful against the dazzling darkness of space, smiling radiantly.

Guinan heard the voice and smiled broadly. "I wondered if you'd still be able to communicate with us," she said to Enye.

Guinan turned to Mike. "I have a question," she started hesitantly. "Do you have any drinkable water on the ship, or a system for that purpose?"

~~Earlier~~

Lilli's face lit up. "That. sounds. great!" they squealed.

They looked at Enye with a newfound look of excitement.
"I. Effin'. Love. Dragons," they gushed. "There's a legend of dragons in my kingdom, but I've never effin' seen one in person!" they said excitedly.

They rushed over to the window to get a better look.

Outside was the sea serpent, its body coiling around in massive shapes.
It twisted and turned in fish-like movements, a finned tail whipping about behind it. It was almost graceful. Its presence was silent but strong, and as Lilli watched they couldn't help but feel a sense of awe.

Gristle rolled his eyes. He'd met a sea serpent before-- and he damn well didn't want to do it again.




~~Now~~
Lilli pulled a space suit from the rack and turned to Aelkai.

"Hey, look!" They grinned. "We're the same size!

When they heard the voice, Lilli paused-- before a wide grin spread across their face.

"Yo, it's Enye!!"

Lilli waited a second, before their expression turned to confusion.
"Also," they asked, tilting their head,"how does the universe sing? ...I mean, like-- do universes have to take singing lessons?"
Their face contorted even further, as the questions only brought up more questions.
"Do they sound really bad?" they said rapidly,"Are, like, parts of the universe tone-deaf? Or, like-- ....is the whole thing tone-deaf?

Their expression turned to horror as they realized the answer.

"...Does it sound like me playing violin?!"

Yeah, the space suits have radios so everyone would be able to communicate.

Mike looks confused. "Enye? Is that you? How are you doing that?"

He pulls out one end of a small tube from it's storage area on the wall and presses own a valve on it which makes a floating bubble of water to form at the tip of the tube. "This is the water supply right here."

Mason comes to a closed door in the damaged and depressurized section of the ship, but the wall and floor to the right of the closed door were completely obliterated except for a few twisted structural beams. He begins to climb across the beams but he looses his footing and barely prevents himself from falling by grabbing onto an electrical cable hanging from the ceiling. He makes it to the other side and continues rushing to the airlock on the other side of the heavily damaged section.

One minute of oxygen remaining. He hops onto the catwalk again once he passes the missile hole and comes to an airlock. He pulls on the handle and tries to open it but it wouldn't budge, and the small display on the door said that it was locked. Mason gets a look of terror knowing that in about 40 seconds he would be out of oxygen and he desperately tries to think of what to do.

And I'm gonna' leave you at this cliff hangar until tomorrow because I'm rude like that.

Guinan laughed as Lily spoke of the badly singing universe. The more serious Lily appeared, the more Guinan found the whole thing funny.

As Mike showed her the water supply, Guinan asked, "What should we fill with water?" She held up the space suit to see if it had a water pouch of any kind.

Mike replies "Only heavier suits made for longer EVA's have drinking water in them, these ones have enough oxygen for 20-30 minutes out in space and they have no built in way to store water."
