mister wiki says:
A craton is an old and stable part of the continental lithosphere. Having often survived cycles of merging and rifting of continents, cratons are generally found in the interiors of tectonic plates. They are characteristically composed of ancient crystalline basement rock, which may be covered by younger sedimentary rock. They have a thick crust and deep lithospheric roots that extend as much as several hundred kilometres into the Earth's mantle.

prego, mon petit chouchou :)

the very first application of audio restoration was with the advent of magnetic tape, which allowed for manual editing block excision of clicks and pops [visualized via real-time oscilloscope display] on dubs of old 78 rpm phonodisc material.

We are all made of stars. The atoms in our bodies, or within any organic matter containing carbon, were created in stars that lived over 4.5 billion years ago.

the hindu cosmology suggests that our present existence on this earth [4.5 billion years or so] is just the latest of countless others, our universe has remade itself repeatedly.

The tragic murder of Jonbenet Ramsey will probably never be solved.

Many true crime aficionados believe her father to be guilty, though many believed her late mother to have been at least involved in the crime, if not the sole perpetrator.

What many people do not know is that John Ramsey had a family before....his daughter from his first marriage also died tragically, in a single-vehicle auto accident.

I live in Boulder. That house is so damn creepy... It's a great place overall but there are MANY haunted aspects of the town, never mind the whole state. A friend of mine has property in his family with a Manson hideout shack on it.

Regarding Elizabeth Short....

In life, she was not known as 'The Black Dahlia'; that was made up by reporters to add interest to the story; there was a popular Alan Ladd movie out at that time, called 'The Blue Dahlia', about an unfaithful wife who was murdered.

Reporters found the body, photographed it, even posed with the poor girl, then left it to be found later by a young mother walking with her children.

She thought at first that it was a department store mannequin, lying in that empty lot.

She had cigarette or cigar burns on her back and shoulders.

Her lower legs were broken; judging by the size/shape of the bruises, a baseball bat may have been what was used.

She was never proven to have done any pornographic film, though the rumor has persisted for years.

Her face was beaten, her front teeth were broken.

What I first read, years ago, is that the estimate was that she was tortured for three days.

She had a tattoo, which had been cut out and was missing.....theoretically kept by her killer(s?) as a sick trophy.

Sorry for the grossness......she died a horrible death, no one paid, I believe that someone knew something, and protected the creep.

January 15th was the day she was found.....R.I.P., Elizabeth, I wish that someone could have helped you.

Her mother moved to Los Angeles from back east, to be near her only daughter's grave.

Didnt know about that previous family and etc.

Even if the parents weren't involved I agreed with comedian George Wallace when he said of their habit of "Dressing up their little baby girl like a ho...they oughta be arrested just for THAT!"

Absolutely!

She was a pedophile's fantasy.......why could her mother not see that that little girl was a walking dream image for sick-minded people?!

I loathe parents of children whose childhoods are poisoned by them; people who are supposed to love and protect them!

Look at what a show-business mother and the movie studios did to Judy Garland.......she looked like she was in her sixties when she died....she was only forty- seven!

One conjecture was that the mother flew into a rage over Jonbonet wetting the bed and killed her during the rage.
