I wish I had a pet to make up for the absence of human affection.

I can't have a kitty because my mum says they're too much work. :(

I would love having a big dog, such as a Labrador. They are friendly and provide lots of affection.

I once had a pet Goldfish that lived for a very long time, nut all of the other fish I've had died quickly. :(

I've never had cats, but I don't think they're usually a lot of work. They tend to be very independent.

I've never had fish.

Dogs are my second fave animals.

Cats would be great if they were as affectionate as dogs.

Have you ever had a pile of kittens crawling all over you because they love you so much? Just because cats act independently doesn't mean that they aren't affectionate.

Is there a chance you can get some sort of pet, KyleK?

There are so many to choose from.

^ adopting a pet is a great way to go about it, as it provides a home for a shelter animal.

also, if you're not sure if you want a pet, you can always take on a dog that is to be used as guide dog for blind, but there are strict rules for how to treat them, among other things they aren't allowed to greet other dogs. To be honest I have a lot of views on that!
old dogs are also hard to give new homes

both are ways for you to have a pet for a short while, if you wanna check what it's like.

Guide dog? But I'm not blind.
