So, Locke and Terra had took some time out in the pool. Locke didn't tell Cid that Terra had sensed the Materia's power, which is why Terra though there was an Esper nearby.

"So who are those two? Are they trustworthy?" asked Quistis to Cid, smacking a demon on the nose.

"Talk later! Fight now!" Selphie cast Haste on the whole party.

"Babe, stop doing that. You'll waste your magic." Irvine drew more magic from a weakened demon.

"You kids are pretty good." commented Cid as he skewered one of the creatures.

Just when Locke and Terra thought they were safe, Ultros the octopus appeared. It seemed somehow he had been transported here and was in their pool.

"Oh please," said Locke.

"Oh, that's not good." Quistis gaped at the octopus.

"Ya think?????" Irvine yelped.

Selphie wasn't scared. She ran at the 'pus, swinging madly.

So, Locke and Terra decided to fight. Terra immidiately started casting Thundaga on him, while Locke slashed at Ultros. Ultros then followed up with a tentacle attack.

The battle raged on until Ultros grabbed Terra.

Locke just had to hope he could hit the right spot to kill her.

Meanwhile, outside, Cid smashed away a Marlboro. He lit a cigarette and inhaled.

"It's hard quitting, isn't it? I mean, at least I'm tryin' to quit smokin', but you bastards aren't doing anything to quit trying to eat me."

With that, he lit the fuse on a stick of dynamite with his cigarette and threw it at the monsters. They were taken out. Cid smiled, only to hear a right fracas emanate from the church. He ran for the entrance, to see Locke and Terra fighting against a giant purple octopus. Not to mention that girl Selphie.

"Need a hand?" asked Cid, putting one hand on the red Materia he carried.

"Show us what you can do!" Irvine winked at Cid. "C'mon Selphie, watch the old man work!"

Quistis giggled, and saw Zell and the others running towards them.

"Trabia was destroyed by monsters." Squall looked down. "None of them were strong enough to fight back."

Selphie fell to the ground and howled. Irvine stood in shock.

Squall shook his head.

"We gotta keep fighting guys, for Garden. Now lets GO already. Zell, you take a few students and look for survivors of this city, they might need help.

Quistis, you go look for more monsters, and stop them. Take Selphie with you." Squall said.

"I'm gonna keep my eye on this Cid and see if he needs help."

Cid turned at Selphie's crying, and looked at the poor girl. As Selphie and Quistis left, Squall came to help Cid. Suddenly, the damned octopus picked Cid up in one of its tentacles and started throwing him against the floor.

The damned thing spoke in a high-pitched voice. "Gwee-hee-hee... You're up the creek without a paddle."

Cid grunted. "Guess again, Squiddly-Diddly!" He skewered the spear right into Ultros' eye, leaving the thing to shriek.

"That was cheap!" screeched the creature, before flinging Cid against a wall. Cid got up, mildly dazed, but seriously pissed off.

He pulled out the red Materia, and yelled: "FINAL END!"

Suddenly, the whole place went dark, and knights came out of nowhere, striking the octopus repeatedly. Ultros shrieked and then disappeared.

Cid saw Squall staring at him. "Summon materia. Knights of the Round. Won't be able to use it again for some time, though. It's a pretty powerful summon."

As Ultros was defeated, Locke and Terra fell back into the water.

"Thanks," said Locke, "but now we owe you one."

"Hey, you two needed a hand. It's fine." said Cid, placing the summon Materia back in his pocket.

So, Locke asked Terra to heal them both. After they were fully healed, they went off to the train station in Midgar to see more of the city.

((Uh, TheAPERSON, the trains don't work anymore, except for some of Shinra's top-secret ones. Most of them were destroyed by Meteor, not to mention the collapse of the Sector 7 Plate. In other words, they're not going to find much in the way of usable trains.))

"Nice work." Squall commented. Quistis ran over.

"Monsters gone." she smiled.

"That was quick." Squall looked amused.

"No match for a SeeD of my stature." she flicked her hair.

"We'd better go, we've annoyed Cid and his crew long enough." Squall said.

Locke and Terra were surprised to find the train stations gone. Then Locke saw Quintis and Squall leaving so they decided to follow them.

"Hey, hang on a moment, Squall! Quistis! What was that about Trabia Garden?"
