I had to look him up. He sounds like a very good choice for Interior!

That leaves State and Labor. We also need a White House Chief of Staff and a Press Secretary.

Another thing, Kyle. Have you ever told us from which part of the US you are from? I have a collection of all American state miniature flags and I'd like to hoist yours.

I am in the middle of the country. In the state of Illinois.

It is also on my desk right now.

When I was fresh in my English studies decades ago, our teacher asked if anyone wanted to have a pen friend in the US. This was in the snail mail era. I raised my hand, and the teacher gave me an address. The pen friend lived in Springfield, Illinois. We exchanged letters for a couple of years, but we never visited each other's countries, or states.

Hmm, in junior high we were supposed to have a friendship class in Australia and the pupils were supposed to exchange letters, but nothing ever came of it for me at least.
I did have some pen-pals I got from magazines and comics and the FBs (friendship books where we wrote our names and addresses and our interests) we sent around via letters. Throughout the years from I was 10-11 and up to my mid 20's I had a lot of pen pals; of course most of them disappeared after a few letters, while some lasted a few years. Those I actually was able to connect with would last 5 years almost on the dot. Then they'd just stop writing.
I never met or wanted to meet any of them. Some would have been possible and 2 wanted to, but I didn't.
