It's Chancellor MVA I was thinking about. Not sure what the initials stand for; maybe Kip can tell you.

Chancellor sounds so cool. Even better than Empress!

My favourite title was when I was reading about the Russian Revolution.

Her Imperial Highness, The Grand Duchess Anastasia.

It didn't end so well though. :(

By the way, Kip, I have tried unsuccessfully to find out which language "heillese" is. I've Googled it and Google translate tells me it's heillese in any language I try, and the only hits I get are in Dutch, but the Dutch word for Dutch is Nederlands, according to Google translate. So which language is it?

my conlang i've been working on for some years now. :)

or should i even say that? it's been years but only these past 6 months i've gotten real progress done. i've gone from 1 or two little sheets of notes on the basic structure (etronaskeleton) to 46 pages! half on the writing system.

i also got nothing but dutchs.

manon. (valerie.) van-allen.

as you'll soon find out, the name "manon"s two components are ma, "who" and non, a word for any nation or state.

"who country", or "unknown country". fitting because half of her family is of sorcanian descent.

Your conlang? I didn't know you were creating your own language. That's really impressive.
Closest thing I ever did was create a few words that were supposed to mean a phrase or sentence in different fictional languages, without thought to how the language worked as a whole. I just picked something I thought sounded good.

Hi Kip, who's in your new avatar?

Would you say Heillese would be easier than e g. Finnish? (I guess most stuff would...)

DJ Ed Miliband from his new album Reckless and Provocative, featuring such hits as

*Up and Down the Country

*Get 'Round the Table

*The Strikes are Wrong But the Beat Is Right

heillese verbs can get a little finn-y with combinations and agglutination - take Te Iecaxanëllatsetin
or "we had begun to love them". from Te Iexen "i love".

 How'd you come up with that photo?

Mr Miliband seems more tanned in your avatar than in the news. It's weird, because in your avatar he bears a striking resemblance to someone I went to high school with.

Nope, too far north for snow, although I have seen it here once. Our cold snap just ended, and we are back to our usual windy, rainy winter weather.

I've had two of my employers just increase my workload, and the other one is going to get very busy next month for about a month or two.

Didn't recognize Ed there with the headphones! But I see now.

Wow Mooms: two employers sounds quite impressive. No wonder you have so little time here right now! What would they think if you began communicating with them in Italian? :D

Life on a New Zealand beef cattle ranch must be totally different from how I have experienced life. Totally.

@Krabo - probably a lot more cows than you have in your daily life. And a lot less Finnish.

@Enviro - two of my employers are former (full-time) employers, who like the fact that I can just do part time, casual work for them as needed. It is convenient for them, and it suits me too, as long as I don't get too many hours from everybody at the same time, which might be happening next month.

They all know that I study languages. In fact, in one place, one of our old customers spoke Italian, so he used to come in to me and chat in Italian. Until he got beyond my skill level then we had to revert to English.

Kip is parched?

That is what you get for abandoning us!

But, we are merciful:here is a nice, big, icy cold root beer float!
