Yikes, that sounds dreadful! :(

I did google face spider though. Are you absolutely sure you don't want me to post a pic for you? I'd be happy to do so :P

It wasn't great, but it was more inconvenient than anything. I was a bit worried for a while that all my good looks would be ruined (I've seen people with these spider bites where it literally eats the flesh away) but thankfully I got on high dose antibiotics straight away, so I was okay.

I am very certain that I don't want you, or anyone else, to do that, thank you.

Well, hmm, ok. But they do look strange, almost cute. Wanna face spider, Sylkat?

And one of the beasties is called a 'Cat-Faced Spider'!

Today in Texas, a twelve-inch-long, red-headed Giant Centipede was found.

NOT showing picture of it.....

:pale:

I had to google it:
Quote:
6-to-8-inch long centipede feeds on lizards, toads, snakes, rodents

While I'm not eager to meet one, it's fascinating that something like that even exists.

We have these 1 mm long bright red spiders. They don't look ferocious at all.

It turned out that they are not really spiders but some sort of mites. However, you find them if you google "tiny bright red spider." They are small.

They're still arachnids though. I've seen them around, especially near the coast, on rocky beaches and on piers.

In the wood nearby I've seen other red creatures. The body is as big as a small cherry. No idea if it was insect or arachnid, or what they might be called.

Pure red dogs would be funny here in Norway. In Norway, the common name for rubella is "røde hunder" (red dogs).

^ The first thing the ADHD dog did was eat a red ball.

Nice video, though.
