I wish I had more patience.

I wish I could just stay home today.

I wish my car didn't need servicing.

I wish I had a fireplace to curl up by, on this chilly rainy day.

Granted a tornado rips through your town lifting people, houses, cars and the lot. You land safely in the middle of a field next to a fireplace.

I wish to have a doze shortly for around twenty minutes and wake up fully refreshed and keen to work.

Granted. You'll be fully refreshed and ready to work once you've vomited up the drug that both made you doze and upset your stomach.

I wish I had laundry facilities in the apartment, and an indoor place to hang-dry laundry.

Granted: your apartment bldg is condemed, and later demolished to build a dry cleaners...


I wish I had not gone to the doctor yesterday.

Granted, but by Murphy's Law, whatever the doctor found out you didn't have yesterday, if you hadn't gone you would have turned out to have. Does that make sense? No, I didn't think so. Sorry ... I'm too sick to write clearly.

I wish I had an income that would pay for a new apartment once I get kicked out in Dec.

Granted, but the job is very tedious and your boss is just unpleasant and looks a little bit like an English bull dog.
