I thought it was nonsense at first, too. But I started to grasp some of them after several questions and got 67%,. It seems like a useless test though, in terms of it being able to measure ability that has any importance.

Somewhere there is a set of rules but I have no idea what they are.
What an earth a square represents in terms of voice, pitch, intensity and rhythm I have no idea :(

It'd be interesting to know how many practice sessions it took to get 100% - and what's with "Not Correct"???

Anyhow, first try - missed the first one and a couple of the middle ones. 65%

Visual-spatial abilties, rythym, prosody and the ability to spot patterns are just as important as the abilities you aren't missing.

I listen to music I don't see music.

I have excellent music ability, but it's entirely unconnected to synaesthesia.

As suspected I got average scores of 50 to 60 on this associative musical/visual test because I do not have that synaesthesia.

I got 90%. I never thought of myself as having synaesthesia, but I do often associate directions with music, which made this pretty easy.

80%, higher than i expected really, i do not have synaesthesia and the (exceptional) musical centre of my brain seems to be completely unconnected to anything but aural stimuli.x

I got one incorrect because I wasn't concentrating and clicked the wrong one.

Total score: 95%
Pitch discrimination: 92.8%
Musical memory: 92.5%
Contour discrimination: 95.2%
Attention: 92.5%
Musical/visual abstraction: 94.3%

I thought the logic of the test was very simple to understand.

Don't worry, I'm classically trained at a Conservatory with perfect pitch and I got only got a 75% with only 80% pitch recognition. BTW I could hear complex harmonies at nine, including augmented 11ths and such in jazz arrangements.

It is only an indication of possible "geometrical" hearing.

BTW I argue over the specific meaning of the polygons used in this test; I was half-expecting a square to be in 4-4 and a triangle to be a waltz. Maybe if they let me design the specific polygons that correlated to the hearing/sound patterns/structure I'd get 100%, but their shapes were strange indeed.
