My AS son is really into Warcraft III, and kind of addicted to it, in a "special interest" way. It's rated "teen", which, in my opinion is a bit too violent. However, he got into it because my husband was playing Starcraft, and our son thought it looked interesting---so he was kind of eased into it, and next thing you know, he was really into it. And then Warcraft.
World of Warcraft is not an option, because I don't want him doing that kind of stuff. (Except he does want to see how the storyline of Warcraft III plays out, and apparently you need to do WoW to find that out. He's pretty upset about that.)
He doesn't like the violence and bad language of Warcraft, but he loves the rest of it. He keeps saying he wished there was something similar, which wasn't a baby game, but also doesn't have the violence and bad language.
Is there anything out there like that? A game which is at a reasonably "teen-adult" level, as far as game mechanics and level of difficulty, but without people being hacked to bits, women being demeaned, and foul language?
(We have Windows NT on his machine)
