It's simple. say what your dream house would be. Mine is a cabin in the woods next to a lake where i can fish and just relax...

Built into the side of a cliff, overhanging a river, is a bunker, with the capability to survive many types of disasters, having self-sustaining abilities such as hydroponic farms, a research lab, medical bay, multiple levels, even the ability to seal off sections of the house if compromised, and a neat security system that will attack violent intruders with something like a railed machine gun or plasma cannon. There is also a cutting edge power plant that powers the "house". I also thought recently, while I'm at this, why not put a spacecraft hangar below the bunker, or attached somewhere. Or even make the house a part of a large spacecraft in some manner, to where if a really bad disaster comes about, the spaceship just breaks apart the mountain and blasts off in like the coolest thing I've ever seen (though I will have to have some video cameras set up on remote live feed just for that purpose).

Anyway, not entirely my idea... but its a fun idea, and something that probably will never get built in the way I described it here.

I also think of my dream-house as being a bunker. Maybe I just like being safe...

A nice apartment in Monaco, on the top floor, with a swimming pool on the roof :D

A nice little place on the moon - Where I can explore the beautiful landscapes and gaze down on earth, and up at the stars. If only.... Haha.
I think that I want a small apartment, over looking a city - I love to people watch. Decked out in tasteless 60's interior decorum. BIG comfy pillows EVERYWHERE.

It would have to be a huge mansion with a huge swimming pool and TV, and tons of SpongeBob stuff! :D

"Yes, build me just a cabin in the corner of glory land,
In the shade of the tree of life that it may ever stand;
Where I can just hear the angels sing, and shake Jesus' hand.
Lord, build me a cabin in the corner of gloryland."

But seriously ... that's an old Charley Pride song, but seriously, I dream of a little cottage somewhere in or near Appalachia, somewhere where I can't see another house and no one can see mine. (I don't care for people-watching!) A few dairy goats, chickens, vegetable garden and fruit trees. A nice clear fast-moving stream with unpolluted water to fish in. Lots of woods to walk in. Quiet. A place where I can see the stars at night. I've been in the city too damn long. I want a small house with enough room for all my kitchen stuff and garden tools and pantry/root cellar for putting up the harvest, but too small to clutter up with junk. Quiet, quiet, quiet, no noise pollution, no light pollution. Peace.....

A cottage in a quaint little village in the English countryside.

And if that's not feasible, I'll settle for an apartment within a big city.

A canal boat. That way I could move about beautiful watery scenery, but keep my snug home with me.

Mine is a loft in the central business district of a major city.

This (link) would just about do it for me. Except I'd prefer all on one floor ... planning for old age. My dream doesn't include having to leave my dream house for a nursing home some day. But I do think it's a very cute house.

I used to want a mansion with lots of maids and servants, but now I think I would just like a nice 3/4 bedroom house in a nice suburb that I can stay in for most of my life.

A large bachelor pad on Carnaby Street, with 60s decor.

Custom, colonial-style, about 1800 sq. ft. on the main floors, the outside white with red trim and a brick foundation rising a few feet out of the ground. The yard: about a half acre, in-ground pool to one side, and a wide open area receding into the woods. Big porches, front and back. There'll be a bar in the basement and hard wood trim throughout the interior. The place will be tucked away in one of the quieter villages of my hometown, in a lot (maybe a corner) with good sun exposure.
