The wonderful sun in Queensland and the fabulous beach at Coolangatta

Kangaroos

The platypus

Koalas

Wombats

Echidnas - if it wasn't for Sega, I might never have learned what they are.

Bandicoots - If it wasn't for Sony, I might have never learned what they are.

Tanooki - If it was for Ninten... oh wait, that's in Japan.

The great barrier reef.

Many incredibly venomous animals, including the male platypus. Its venom isn't usually fatal, but so painful that even the highest non-fatal dose of morphine doesn't really help.

Dingos. Don't them let them eat your baby!

Drink driving. They call it this instead of drunk driving because you don't actually have to be drunk for your driving to be impaired.

That silly song I used to hear at Christmas about Santa's sleigh being pulled by big white kangaroos called boomers, because it's summer at Christmastime in Australia and reindeer can't stand the heat. It must be a very bouncy ride!

The song about the Kookaburra sitting in the old gum tree.

Crocodile Dundee

Dugouts, which are shelters dug into the ground that people movie into during the summer to stay cool.

Vegemite.

Aboriginals.

Didgeridoo

Expressions like "G'day, mate!" and "No worries!" :D

Friendly people - of all the countries I have travelled through/lived in, Aussies are the friendliest, funniest and most generous :)

Sydney, and its big shell structures.

The city I live in is also called Sydney. I read at least one story where someone came here by plane when they meant to go to the other Sydney, which they eventually did, but said it was nice here.

Tasmanian devils.

Emus. We have them here too, at the wildlife park.

Coffee drinking is very popular in Australia, contrary to Marge's difficulty ordering it on The Simpsons.

Fairy bread, which is just plain white bread that's buttered and then covered in sprinkles like they put on cupcakes, and then cut into triangles.

Meat pies, colloquially known as "maggot bags".
There's an art to eating them.
