I would like to know do you think that you say something intelligent on other threads and you think that it is the greatest response and realize that the next day none has posted and you keep waiting and waiting and none responds? Who else is like that?

YES.

Only in my case, I say something "funny," expect to have everyone in stitches, and then come back to see sadly that nobody else got the joke (or maybe they did, but it was so far beneath their superior sense of humour that they didn't even bother to laugh).

I can't help having the IQ of a two-year-old.

I expect I've just killed this thread now, too.

You watch.

I will be the last person to ever post on here.

*hollow laugh*

That happens to me, too. Not as much on here, but on a lot of forums, everyone just seems to go away once I post.

Or, if I don't kill the thread, it heats up because everyone wants to pile on and tell me how wrong I am, what a jerk I am, whatever... A really good technique for producing that effect? Just point out the elephant in the room, whatever it is. It won't matter that it was there all along - you'll get blamed for it.

Maybe we should make a new thread and call it "the uninanimate thread" so it can't be killed. Or, "the thread for misunderstood people."

Then we can all flock together in the same place! :bounce:

I'm not smart or funny so like in real life I just kinda fade into the threads by either killing it or just being ignored.

No.
Also, there's already a thread on this topic that's already nearly 2,000 pages long; someone might have finally killed it, though.

There is a thread for this that is (wait, let me check....) currently 1,855 pages long. The thread never dies because people keep posting how great a thread killer they are. :?

I'm not a thread killer, but I can be a conversation killer. All I have to do is say the thing that nobody else dares to say. Cowards.

I think that might just be in your heads. People stop posting on threads when the threads leave the home page and they're not seen by as many.

Heh heh, people often don't respond to my threads/posts when they're still ON the home page. It sucks. I don't know what I'm saying to make people back off so. I'd like to learn somehow, but I have no idea where to go for clarification.
