This is a game I used to play while in France, and it was a blast. The goal is to invent a new word that could be a word in the German language. I am more than curious what you will come up with.

The game has the following rules:

1. You may not participate if German is your native language, or if you speak German on a high level.
2. The word may contain existing German words, but may not intentionally be exactly the same or very similar to an already existing term. Accidental similarities are welcome.
3. The word must not contain one of the following words: "Blitz, "Krieg", "Nazi", "Sauerkraut"

Hope some of you will come up with some creative ideas! Cheerio!

Ouch!

Kindergarten

dopplerganger

geschtaldt.

One particular dialect of German gave a boatload of loanwords- namely Yiddish. All of those "sch" words: schmuck, schlemeil (sp?), and schlepping,

Awesome effort so far. Krachtbrauser is my favorite at the moment. I am yet thinking of the way to establish this word in the german language so it is adopted into the dictionary.
