You Feel a Bit Entitled
You don't feel like the world should be handed to you, but you do feel like you've paid your dues.
And let's be honest - you don't think you've gotten the credit that you deserve.
While you may be actually entitled to more, you can't think that way. Feeling entitled will only lead to trouble.
Just keep working hard and doing your best. Eventually you'll end up with what you deserve.
How Entitled Do You Feel?
Blogthings: A Whole Shipload Of Randomness!
1.Do you feel like you are more special than other people?
Yes
No
2.If you were on a sinking ship, should you be offered the lifeboat first?
Yes
No
3.Do you spend a lot of time thinking about what you deserve?
Yes
No
4.Do you feel like lying or cheating is often justified?
Yes
No
5.Do you feel like you are better than other people?
Yes
No
6.Does it make you angry when other people are more successful than you?
Yes
No
7.Do you feel like others should cut you a break or give you special favors?
Yes
No
1. Let's look up the definition of special. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/special By these definitions everyone is special. Everyone is different from each other in some way. We have different abilities and attributes. We are all good at things and not so good at different things. Yes, we all are human beings with four different blood types which can be either + or -. If none of us were truly special we would be like the borg.
2. It depends on the circumstances. What kind of sinking ship is it? Is it a naval vessel? What if one had to get off first for national security? This question is context sensitive and can't be answered absolutely yes or absolutely no.
3. Again, this question depends upon circumstances. Let's say I do a job and the person I was working for refuses to pay me. Would I not be dwelling on the deserving of my payment?
4. I am completely against lying and cheating but what does one do when lying and cheating is the norm and valued over honesty? From my observations in America, if one was completely honest he or she would be ostrasized. I believe I deserve and have the right to be honest with no fear of reprisal. This goes back to number three.
5. Again it depends. Maybe I am better than math then others and another person is better at literature. I am better than others in certain ways and they're than me in other ways.
6. Again, it depends. If they use their success to trample and harm others I would be angry at their success. Hitler was successful in rising the power and what did the f**k do. He had millions of people murdered.
7. For the most part, people should not be forced to do anything and I believe some people should receive breaks especially the disabled. I believe morally that people in general should give those a break who need a break. For example, I believe morally if one sees an old lady who needs help across the people are morally obligated to help this old lady. It is the right thing to do. If more people did things like this and were excellent to each other(Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure) then all of this sense of entitlement would diminish.
These questions are very ambigious and they are complex questions. By answering them I am guilty no matter what. If I answered I am better than no one at anything I would be considered negative. It is similar to answering have I quit having an affair with other women. It assumes that I have ever had an affair. These questions assume that a sense of entitlement is always a negative thing to have. These questions assume that everything that happens to a particular person is that person's fault. They assume such an internal locust of control that everything is a person's fault no matter what the circumstances. This is what is wrong with America today. We as Americans are not gods as we portray ourselves to be. We don't have complete control of reality itself. There is an objective reality outside of ourselves.
Fnord took some clothing out of a church. He was homeless and in dire straits. They would not give him the clothes. He went in and took the clothes. This was for his survival. Fnord drones and preaches against a sense of entitlement just like a lot of Responsibility advocates do but he steals clothes. Did he do the right thing? What if he was caught and arrested. Would society say he had a sense of entitlement? The way this extreme internal locust of control, take responsibility for your actions is being taken is absurd. There are constraints to what a person can do. Why does he get out of jail free card? Was he responsible? Did he have a sense of entitlement? Would he do the same thing today if presented with the same situation? American standards taken to the extreme that they're being taken to are absurd. America has a high level of internal locust of control which is absurd.

No, I DEFINITELY DON'T deserve any more than I have, I deserve less. MUCH LESS! I should be dead already, or suffering. I've been given much and I've done nothing worthwhile with it, and it is unlikely I ever will. I am just a selfish, envious person, is all. That is why I scored as 'a bit entitled'.
You Don't Feel Entitled
You don't think you're better than anyone else in this world, and you certainly don't feel like you deserve special treatment.
And to be honest, it really drives you crazy when people think they are entitled to breaks and favors.
You believe in taking your responsibilities seriously and working your hardest.
And those habits have gotten you far. You get back what you put in, and that's enough to make you happy.

The first question, "do you feel more special than others", could be interpreted in different ways
Anyway... Result
You Feel Extremely Entitled
You feel like you are better than most people in this world and that you deserve more for it.
You don't think you should have to work hard. You think success should be handed to you.
While you may be a great person, your sense of entitlement is extremely damaging.
Get your ego in check and stop thinking that the world revolves around you. Maybe then you will truly deserve success.
