I was just wondering if anyone thinks there should be a place on wrongplanet to talk about the things people like to collect.

Im serious about collecting, and would love to share with other collectors.
Mostly I collect action figures, and im quite surprised that there is no specifiic place on wrong planet for collectors of any sort of thing.

is there anyone who would like a spot on wrongplanet to share their collections?

im more of a small scale hoarder. i do collect various things, but nothing in the way of a formal collection as it stands now

I am not a passionate collector, but the one thing I have been collecting are old photographs of humans. People I never knew, people I will never know.

I've collected a lot of various things over the years - Alice in Wonderland merchandise, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic merchandise, magazine clippings of a couple of favorite celebrities, DVDs and books. I'm not really interested in that stuff anymore, so I feel like all the money I sank into those collections was wasted. Maybe I'm just not cut out to be a collector.

Tools
Disney coffee mugs
"Sharpies" markers, all the colors so far
Radio Control cars/trucks/boats
Rocks, not limited to pocket size

I collect plants, almost all Australian natives, but also the more unusual/delightful one from around the world.
This is my favourite:

Spiranthes sinensis The Pink Spiral Orchid. It's a terrestrial and I have 5. My next challenge is to grow it from seed.

Some of the things I collect are:
+ Information.
+ Cats (though unintentionally; they come to me. Cat paraphernalia I do intentionally collect)
+ Ammunition.
+ Action Figures (of historical figures, G.I. Joes (old-school 12" and 3 1/4" figures), Stargate SG1 (then entire wave), the doctor Malfatto from Assqassin's Creed (only because I'm obsessed with plague doctors - I don't even play video games) among others).
+ Military equipment/uniforms/everything else.
+ Civil Defense paraphernalia (yes, I know it's strange for someone in my age bracket to know about this sort of thing, let alone be interested in it).
+ Music (Industrial/Elektro/EBM and related genres).
+ Books on unusual topics.
+ Models (usually for miniatures gaming like Flames of War and Warhammer 40,000).
+ Plague Doctors (Believe it or not, there is a niche market for this stuff. I have a plush doll of a plague doctor, a tree ornament, a costume complete with mask, a poster of the famous "der Doktor Schnabel von Rom" depiction, an action figure (as mentioned earlier), several pewter models of plague doctors, and even a car air freshner of one) I'm looking to get one tattooed on the back of my forearm.
