There's a strongish case for quite a few:

Charlie Brown: too shy to approach the little red-haired girl, and although often a "loser" he never gives up!
Linus: special interests (big words; theology, The Great Pumpkin); security blanket.
Snoopy: definitely not an NT dog, has special interests (World War I flying ace); sleeps on the kennel roof, friends with birds...
Schroeder: special interest (Beethoven)
Lucy (very direct to the point of being offensive)

Who would be your role model?

I closely identify with Lucy. Ironically enough, Linus is my favorite.

I think the most noticeable ones are Linus, Schroeder and Marcy. As far as role models go, I think Linus would be the best representative.

Lucy: "Of all the Charlie Browns in the world, you're the Charlie Browniest!"
