Very interesting. Most of the moral dilemmas were the same exact circumstances, but you had to choose which was worse. Bizarre.

The scenarios in this test pitted means against ends, a common philosophical contrast. Some people believe that the menas matter, other people believe believe that the ends always justify the means. The statistic we are providing is based on your answers in this test. The more you discriminated by means, the closer to 10; the more you judged on ends alone, the closer to 0. Your statistic is 6.6; so far the average statistic on this test is a 6.1. The researchers at the Moral Sense Test make no claims about the validity or meaning of this statistic.

The scenarios you judged in this test pit means against ends, which is a common philosophical contrast. Each of the characters must choose whether to use bad means to acheive good ends -- for instance, whether to harm a single person in order to help many others. The statistic provided is an indication of the choices you made about means versus ends. The closer it is to 1, the more heavily you appeared to weight means (the rights of one); the closer it is to 7, the more heavily you appeared to weigh ends (the benefit of many). Your statistic is 5.2.

Boy, this test sure had some really hard scenarios. It seemed like whatever decision was to be made in each one would cause trouble either way. A no win situation, I don't like those.

I got a 3.2

And the fourth part didn't have so much in common with moral choices or ethic as such. It simply checked if one gets sick to his stomach easily.

Well it gave me a 6.5
I tend to weigh the situations based on the needs of many.
